First of welcome to the forum . We appreciate your welcomed thoughts about the forum. Yes, allot has happened since the Sierra Sounds. So we are glad that you were able to find this forum. As you might know that these creatures are not easy. But there are allot of dedicated people out in the field doing hard research . People doing their best for one purpose and bring that proof. They deserve allot of credit for a creature that is not easy to be observed. So welcome to the forum and please read the guide lines so that you may enjoy the forum.

Welcome to the Forums, Believer57.

Your comment about hearing the same Sierra Samurai Chatter in the Catskills was very interesting.

Thank you for the warm welcomes. I went to Alfred State College back in the late 70s before transferring to R.I.T. in upstate NY. We were young and strong back then and would go hiking in the nearby Catskills. This was the same time period of the John Belushi Samurai character so my buddies and I would look at each other and laugh our heads off. Little did we know back then. I forgot to mention that we were young and strong and stupid!

Cheers!

I think that we were all young once.  That we did not understand allot of stuff that happens out in nature. But what is it that gets these creatures our attention.  You are educated and when you heard what you heard you had no idea what it was. So you searched every where  to find out what you heard. I have done the same thing with my sighting of this creature. It truly bothered me on what I saw and even on what I heard.

I came hear to this forum because there were allot of educated people hear. Great researchers from around the country. I have learned more here then any where else and have learned to become humble. I am not saying this to promote the forum I am saying this because there are allot of great people on this forum. Some who have passed away but have left their mark on this forum. All it takes is research and you can find what you or anyone else is looking for. So yes Welcome to you new people who have joined.

Hi I’m from the finger lakes region of upstate New York. I’ve been interested in Bigfoot for many years. I’m hopeful to learn about sightings in my area.

Hi Mike,

You can learn about some of the reports in your region from the BFRO database. It is rather shocking to discover reports from the Adirondacks where we took our kids when they were small. Also, check out the Missing 411 files or latest movie feature, "The Hunted" on Amazon Prime for people that have disappeared in NY.

I just became a member of the BFF so excuse my ignorance if this forum also keeps a database of BF sightings.

Cheers!

Hello all!

I’m a fairly recent addition to the BF phenomenon. Tbh, I never really gave it much thought until I stumbled across some compelling evidence (online, not in person) a few weeks ago and realized that this had some merit to it and could be a real possibility. Since then, I’ve been devouring anything and everything I can find out about the subject in hopes that I can eventually find someone in my area willing to let me apprentice with them out in the field.

I’m excited and grateful to be here!

Hey guys! I've been lurking the forums for a long while now. Sasquatch have been a novel interest of mine my whole life, having grown up just outside the redwoods in northern California. My grandfather even had a story about encountering one!

I periodically come here to browse the topics, read advice and see if any new info or perspectives arise on the subject.

Soon, I'll be moving to an area of Illinois that is a hotbed of BF activity, according to accounts from the BFRO website, and I'm ready to start seriously investigating these magnicifient and terrifying creatures.

Naturally, I figured it was time to join in on the conversation here.

I look forward to having some great conversations here, and gleaning as much knowledge as possible from you all!

Welcome SilverPine.

As you mentioned about Illinois and BF activity, I had looked one time at the BFRO geographical database and was surprised to see Illinois was one of the highest ranked states for number of BF reports. It had more reports than Oregon.
