WV FOOTER

Hello, I'm a professional archaeologist with a Masters degree in anthropology.  I happened to stumble upon evidence of Bigfoot near my summer cabin about ten years ago after I retired from the US Forest Service.  Soon thereafter, I started gifting them.   In 2015,  I started collecting audio recordings as well as documenting my habituation research with a video camera.   I have subsequently published over 200 videos on my YouTube channel called "Bigfoot Anthropologist."

Most of these videos are of my Bigfoot Research Study Group called "The Gifted Ones."  My anthropological research approach is based upon the habituation example developed by Dr. Jane Goodall in her study of Chimpanzees.  I use audio surveillance techniques to collect Bigfoot audio recordings in a gifting area that I had established with them.  My most recent video that I published, called "Bigfoot is Blurry," documents my interaction with several members of the group in their natural habitat.  I have so much data, that I'm five years behind in uploading my results.

I welcome everyone to check out my channel and learn about my story of how I learned how to use noise reduction to remove the hissing sound of background noise or "white noise" to reveal suspected sounds of Sasquatch.  Using this new revolutionary technique, which I call "Bigfoot Bioacoustics," I've been able to listen to and interpret patterns of Sasquatch sounds and learn a great deal about their communication skills beyond just sounds that are within our normal human audio range.  My first 43 Bigfoot audio recording videos document 24 hours of continuous sound captured in the gift area, which in my previous visits I identified as an intensively used Bigfoot activity area.  These recordings can be accessed on my channel either individually or via the following Playlists:  "The Beginning - A Day in the Life of a Group of Bigfoots:  Day One (Parts 1 through 6)" and "In the Beginning - A Day in the Life of a Group of Bigfoots:  Day Two (Parts 7 through 48).  These recordings established a baseline for my audio research.  As many of these new sounds revealed by these new methods were breaking new ground, I had to develop a nomenclature to describe the methods, techniques, and results.  This was especially the case in not only terminology for the sounds, but also for the "voiceprints" imprinted on the waveforms and spectrograms and sound visualizations.  Such is the scientific method when there are no precedents.

My next videos continued along these same lines throughout the month of June 2015 in which I had audio data collected to do so.  These also can be viewed on my channel.   My volume of work in this regard provides a wealth of information for researchers to study and compare and contrast with their own data.

In order to test the validity of the methods, techniques, and results of my research, I conducted what I call "Cross Cultural Comparison Studies" of videos and audio recordings collected by a wide variety of Bigfoot researchers.  There are fifty (50) such videos on my channel that can be viewed either individually or within a Playlist called "Cross Cultural Comparisons and Collaborations."  The success rate of these tests speaks for itself.  I encourage everyone to check these out.  I am extremely confident in my research and how it can help Bigfoot researchers in their own efforts.

That said, I don't want to be thought of as a "know it all."  I didn't know anything about audio analyses when I bought my digital audio recorder in 2015.  Everything I've learned is on the seat of my pants.  I only know what I need to know to get the recorder to turn on and work for me.  Same thing with the audio processing software.  There are many of you who know much more about equipment, sound, and software.  My goal was to remove the "white noise" without distorting the recorded sounds so that I could hear the sounds made by Squatches in the background.

My whole approach to anthropology, archaeology, and now with Bigfoot research is that it is what you learn after you know it all that really counts.  In anthropology and archaeology, I learned that there are more unknowns than knowns.  Same thing in Bigfoot research.  My research should not be perceived as a threat to the Bigfoot research community, but rather as complementary to everyone else's journey of discovery into their own study and pursuit of knowledge of these elusive reclusive fascinating beings.

^^

Anthropologist, try this; this what I did when I changed mine.

Click on your username on a post, which should bring up your profile. On the lower left, you should see your current avatar and a small white box with a blue mountain in it at the lower left edge. Click on the small white box and it will bring up a box that says "Profile Photo". "Upload Photo" should already be checked, which is what you're wanting to do.

Click on "Choose Single File" and it should bring up an area where either 'Documents' or 'Pictures' or something similar are saved on your computer, although you may have to hunt around for wherever you have pictures saved. Click on the picture you want to use and then click on 'Continue' at lower right.

On the next page that comes up, you should see the picture you chose with the ability to adjust the size. After doing any adjusting, click "Save" and the picture should appear as your avatar.

I hope this works.

The other way is also click right on your profile settings and then click on your profile avatar photo. From there you can add your photo or what ever you would like as long as it fits with in the profile picture dimensions. Just make sure that you stay with the BFF guide lines. I hope that this helps.

Let me correct this: If you go to the top right hand to your profile name and click you will see the contents under your profile name. You then want to click on profile and this will take you into you profile settings. There you will see cover photo on the right upper hand side.  There you want to tap on cover photo and choose photo. There you can choose the proper accepted file types, gif, jpeg, jpe, png, with a max file size 9,77 MB.

Hey everyone, long time lurker, I come from Northern Illinois, heard about all the Bigfoot activity in my state but don't know where, probably Southern? I'm more of a Paranormal Investigator as I've ghost hunted way more than I have ever Bigfooted, but looking to change that. If I were to Bigfoot I'd want to do Intel and learn their habits, where they go and what food they prefer, something to make a long winded sighting a possibility. Gonna use Film instead of digital recorders because I believe the micro-sounds those devices emit can be heard by them.

Welcome to the Forums Marty. You're the second new member from the Land of Lincoln in the last week or so. I wish you good luck in your searching. As I mentioned in a post for the previous new Illinois member, it's amazing how high the state ranks in the BFRO database for sightings, etc.

Welcome to the Forums, Tamlee63. What county in Arkansas was your sighting? It's nice you got a clear sighting.

I've driven through quite a bit of Arkansas and it has a lot of forested areas, some of them are fairly rugged. Especially in the western half.

Thanks!  Got it done!  How do you like it?  It's the same one that I use on my YouTube channel "Bigfoot Anthropologist."

Welcome to the forum Marty. I am kind of a believer in using film over digital. Harder to hoax over film then digital.  Allot of what you are looking for is a difficult task with these creatures . But is possible. We hope that you have enjoyed the forum as a long time lurker. Glad that you decided to join the forum.  We hope to hear about your successes in the field.
