Well I'll check back on this thread in July 2012 and I'll bet that nothing will have come of this thing.

I'm still well aware of old Buggs down in Texas. That one sounded a lot more believable but it was a hoax. .

Ah, yes, ol Buggs.

What a yarn, that ol boy spun, no?

Well, for the most part, it looks like he has been reading the BFF to get his updates.

Well now it's a half million movie/book deal for the shooter. And the paper was accepted in Feb. and is still in revision and/or re-write.

The screen capture of taxidermy.net showed no posts from the parties closest to the shooting so I guess that part is still up in the air.

Seems like there is a little more info. there but sounds as if some of the commentators had some inside knowledge of hoax but they could just be restless people with their skepticals on .... who knows till we know. :)

I refuse to go to the Lindsey site and give him the traffic that may encourage his more dubious postings, but if what you said came from his sight....

Hollywood is not known for being able to keep any secret. I can't see some news agency picking up this story if real offers were being made. Tons of people who work for publishers and producers make a nice chunk of side money leaking things to the press about interesting matters like this. The nice thing about news reports is that they can cover the story from a skeptics view and ridicule the story to maintain the creds in case it is a hoax. If the news covers this within the next 30 days, I will believe for the first time something Lindsey has written outside of his name.

I believe that's just SilverFox messing up and misunderstanding Steve Kulls' posting that the paper is out for peer review only now and supposedly out of peer review by November at the latest.

Nope, (according to him) it was submitted Jan., accepted with conditions in Feb. and whatever those conditions were has resulted in the delay to date......with him reiterating the same old it'll be out by Nov. or year end at latest. All his opinion or his interpretation (of rumor?) btw.

Believe who you will, what you will or don't believe at all, it's up to you and the rumor mill at this point.

Well yeah, but where did he take that from? I haven't seen him post this before which is why I thought he was only misinterpreting Kulls. Anyway, the Kulls show was definitely the first time Ketchum has publicly said that the paper was now out for peer review.

Hey, I just report the news, I got nothing vested in it.......national enquirer material for sure

Don't blow a gasket shake! Chill! :)

I'm perfectly chill, no worry :) Wasn't arguing against you or anything. What a shame you can't also provide the tone of your voice through typing, I'm just pondering here.

I wouldn't put that past him, unless he would like to clarify with further unverifiable stuff.B)

As he doesn't seem to be posting here anymore......suppose some of it could be disinformation, but then again, would that be something novel to the field?
