I also read where Erickson is shutting down his development business. You'd have thought if they had something they would have capitalized on it rather than lose their livelihoods.

Mr. Erickson does not enjoy the best of reputations in the province of BC and his alleged improprieties go back over 5 years.

"One man who is in the know about the infrastructure at Regal Ridge is John Nett, who was the project construction manager, working on the installation of infrastructure. He said, “Unfortunately there is nothing further from the truth than the statements Adrian Erickson made in the press release [dated] October 7, 2011.â€

"We are moving the lab to a larger town and are in the process of selling the service part of it. We will be doing forensics and research oriented projects only."

LOL, how sad some very quickly chose to discredit her as a failure.

...and on Erickson's business, the true unemployment rate of this nation is at 23%, 45 million Americans are said to be on food stamps. The worst economy since the 1930's but that's no reason for his business venture to go south is it ???

Thank you for posting that Gershake.. LOL. Think about it folks.. If she were "going out of business" completely (as reported) how would she survive? Aside from the "Bigfoot DNA" - this is what she does.

Did everyone think she would be going to work at McDonalds? LOL. I am by no means a Ketchum fan - but c'mon folks.

Both her old and her new businesses are in trouble as well as MK. One last go at keeping the reality hidden!

Gershake that link is also not working anymore.

I still find it odd that the people she was working w/on projects were not at least given an email heads-up? It wouldn't take more than 5 minutes to write a quick email to your customers letting them know your plans and any disruptions they might experience.

What does what is happening in the US have to do with the booming housing economy that was being enjoyed in British Columbia, Canada over the past few years? Did you even bother to read the link? Do you have any knowledge of who Erikson is and where his development is? You obviously do not know that parts of Canada were not affected by the economic downturn at all and that Canada was the least affected nation in the G-7.

If you would actually read the article I linked to you would learn many things. The most important thing is that Mr. Erickson is being accused of continously lying over a 5 year period regarding his business venture and that there are dozens of people lining up to sue him.

Are the NDAs between the company and the submitters of the samples or Ms. Ketchum personally and the submitters?

I still find it odd that the people she was working w/on projects were not at least given an email heads-up? It wouldn't take more than 5 minutes to write a quick email to your customers letting them know your plans and any disruptions they might experience.

Pretty hard to sneak out of town if you give people a heads up! I can't believe that people are not catching onto the fact that this is last act of the charade that has gone on for years. Sad, really.

What is the name and address of the new business? When will it open? Absolutely no reason to withhold any of this important information.

This was a big peer reviewed scandal that got found out a few years ago when people went back over the data that had been submitted. It does happen: http://en.wikipedia....n_scandalThis guy had basically just turned the world of nanotechnology on its end. It was all wrong. Kind of like Cold Fusion.

St. G-

Scandals in science happen all the time, and a lot more often than people know. That's why you have to take scientific claims on a case by case basis and run in the other direction ANY time someone starts blathering about "the consensus" or "peer review" or the like.

Good book on just how little faith we should place in institutions of all kinds, Science included: http://www.amazon.com/Wrong-us-Scientists-relationship-consultants/dp/0316023787

She is a veterinarian not a geneticist and not an academic. I imagine she will just go back to being a veterinarian.

Sorry, they mean nothing regardless, unless there is a type specimen to compare them to. Unless you mean that a hundred "unkown primate" results could get the right people interested.

Need some help moving those goalposts?

For years and years Skeptics have demanded "hard" science. DNA is just about as "hard science" as it gets. Now, as many have predicted, the other side is setting up it's new goal-line "DNA + Body"...then it will be "DNA + MORE Bodies" (as in "prove it isn't the last") and so forth.

Just out of morbid curiosity: where exactly would confirmed, uncontaminated DNA from a previously UNdocumented primate come from other than from a previously undocumented primate? A trout? A pomegranate tree? The Tooth Fairy?

Sounds more like she is giving up the vet side and expanding the genetics.

What's the name and location of the new company indiefoot?

Interesting. That doesn't bode well for the paper. MK should break the silence and speak up now.

Wow Kitakaze and Tontar are mentioned by BFF user name as connected to the Elbe trackway too. Too much drama at once.

Could have been avoided if Skeptics weren't so desperate to play "gotcha" that they started hoaxing.
