Michael Medved (talk radio host) is going to talk about the "5 year DNA study" on his radio show today, according to the promo I heard this morning.

Matt Moneymaker is in full-on rampage mode against Ketchum on Twitter.

Yeah I just went and read those, but the things he is accusing her of doing don't sound that bad... pitched her DNA study to Monsterquest? Pitched herself to producers of TV shows? That's so horrible? He says her DNA study is a "hoax and a sham"? The only reason he would say these things would be to ruin her scientific credibility, but that is so transparent and shallow I can't believe nobody has told him how petty that looks.

He's trying to say her claim "the samples just came to me" and the fact that she also solicited samples (for the study) makes her completely dishonest. Come on, Matt. There's a lot more to the story and you know it.

I think there is very much on the line for Mr. Moneymaker. It might be funny to see some very special characters searching for "Santa" and not coming up with anything. All that what Finding Bigfoot is, would instantily turn into nonsense of the worst kind. Just think of a show where some "specialists" try on and on again only to film a bear or anything real. And all this just at the time he starts enjoining the celebrity livestyle. Who knows why his producer told him about Ketchum.

But anyway the Erickson movie will blow finding Bigfoot for sure!

Good post, even if I did have a juvenile snicker at the last sentence

my wife has it on but didn't see it, what time was it on? just had brad pitt on, was it before him

It was about 7:20 central time.

Well, of course they just came to her. She publicly asked for any samples that people might want to donate to the study & "they just came to her". Where did he expect her to get samples from all over the US & Canada? Go out & find them herself?

Did he mention that he didn't find the one that came to him on the show Sunday night? Somebody gave it to him.

Here is how I separate the legitimate sasquatch researchers from the illegitimate ones:

The legitimate ones don't care who makes the final confirmation happen, as long as it does.

The other ones...not so much.

Perhaps DWA,.although motivations and the true heart of those seeking (or selling) may not be so obvious, as the pressures on proponents are unique.

I think the real telling behaviors shall come after proof, when it gets boring, like simply staying away from them (or not selling expeditions and mystery and so on) and relying on anthropologists to tell us about these indigenous peoples? Or, donate and support a campaign that aligns with your goals as relates to BFs, but in the form of a check rather than YouTube.? Not much glamour in any of that, and no wild expeditions!

I can't see "Finding BF" continuing in it's current format, but don't see why they can't come up with an off shoot that works topically, would hate to lose BoBo from the American psyche! And love that kids watch it and are learning to love our mysterious natural world.

And, what ever occurs in this whirlpool of discovery may not be an indicator of what comes from it, as productivity and contributions must continue to retain any influence (or money, what was the goal?) over the millions that shall be forming opinions with perhaps knowledge that is only "news accounts" deep. Truth is the BF community sends mixed messages about the behavior of BFs b/c we don't actually know that much..or can demonstrate that much, that we can all agree on.

Tough spot for us all...and BFs.
