Bonehead74
INTJ. While I find the overall summary quite "on the money", I don't consider myself quite the introvert that it paints me as. It was fun, though! In addition to what JDL mentioned concerning info gathering, the E/I can also reflect your energy system. Extroverts gain energy by interaction with other people and lose energy by being alone, whereas introverts gain energy by spending time alone and expend energy by interacting with others. Guest
I wondered if that was why so many on here are introverts, rather than just assuming a certain type is attracted to bigfoot. Those factors, and also that the INTJ's and other introverts tend to like to take tests. The only difference in this survey and the one a couple of years ago is in assuming most extroverts are skeptics. I don't see that trend so far in what few have tested this year. Rod
Extroverts gain energy by interaction with other people and lose energy by being alone, whereas introverts gain energy by spending time alone and expend energy by interacting with others. I fit into both categories if those I am interacting with share the same passion and enthusiasm about the subject being discussed, even if that includes opposing viewpoints. I tend to feed off of that, seeing myself as both extroverted and introverted.
BeachFoot
Thanks for the input, JDL and Bonehead. Based on that, I'll change my assessment of the summary to "spot on". I am definitely more inclined to rely on the written (and proven) word versus the spoken word when drawing any conclusions of my own. I also, for the most part, would rather observe people than interact with them. I don't avoid people or crowds, but you'll very rarely find me in the middle of them. I've been told that I am friendly and outgoing but that I seem to prefer a "distance" from people in general (used to bother my ex-wife). I've been described as the "strong, silent" type. I guess I always equated "introvert" more as the "shy, quiet" type. Guess the old saying that "you learn something every day" holds true once again! Anyway...it was cool. If nothing else, those of us who have participated have learned a little more about ourselves. Great thread!
Guest
ESFJ for me http://keirsey.com/4temps/provider.asp Seems pretty close anyway.
Bonehead74
If nothing else, those of us who have participated have learned a little more about ourselves. Great thread! I think that this the primary benefit of an open-minded approach this subject. Until we have a sasquatch in custody, we can learn a lot about our human nature and how we process information. Learn and grow.
Guest krakatoa
Do they have a type for people who don't take personality tests? Because I'm pretty sure I'm that.

Guest krakatoa
A Contrairian, eh? I like the view of your perch. Me, a contrarian? ! If it had been based on someone other than Jung I might have paid attention to the results...LOL! Well at lest it's not based on Freud. If it had been, people probably wouldn't be sharing the results.

Guest wild eyed willy
I'm not the kinda guy who likes to settle down. I'm never in one place, I just roam from town to town. When I find myself falling for some girl, I hop right into that car of mine and drive around the world.
