Guest Fanofsquatch Posted May 16, 2011 Posted May 16, 2011 It's getting really hard to sort through all this. I agree the longer Erickson is quiet the more baggage his project is going to have weather he wants it or not. He needs to clear the air or when his findings and all are released it will be clouded by yahoos claiming involvement. As far as questionable people putting out pic & video, it is possible that even Biscardi himself could come across the real thing, but who would believe him except people who don't know about him, this may be the case with Erickson and some of these people.
Guest Posted May 16, 2011 Posted May 16, 2011 If this kind of stuff keeps happening, the hard-line skeptics will have a feeding frenzy, when and if the evidence is finally released. I second that. Where's Sasky when we need him (or her)?
Guest Posted May 16, 2011 Posted May 16, 2011 (edited) I second that. Where's Sasky when we need him (or her)? Ahem, her! I have only met Randy Brisson once, just recently, and went on a very nice hike with him in Golden Ears. The area, to me, looked very squatchy but we didn't experience anything while we were there. He actually gave me no reason not to believe his report and because I prefer to judge for myself the credibility of a person instead of taking the word of the "mob" I am open to the possibility that there are squatches in that area. There have been many reports from that area of sasquatch activity and because he hikes in that area almost every single day year round I would guess the probability that he has run into a squatch on more than one occasion very high. I don't know anything about him being part of the EP. Edited May 16, 2011 by Sasky

I would sya though that i doubt many would doubt that his area of Research is a good area or there are Sasquatches within it, i just think many seem to have an issue ( myself included ) with things like the below when they come out of it.. I'd also like to add that i have no issue with the time this whole thing is taking, i dont' care that the length of it may enable it to have more baggage as i's rather it be done properly than not & if that means it takes time, then so be it.. If that DNA is what we are led to believe it is, the baggage becomes irrelevent anyway. Edited May 17, 2011 by BobbyO

Guest Carl Posted May 17, 2011 Posted May 17, 2011 (edited) More news from the Erickson Project. Not good news in my opinion... read the comments on Cryptomundo. http://www.bigfootencounters.com/films/brisson-mcdonald.htm http://www.cryptomundo.com/cryptozoo-news/brisson-bf2010/ Is another hoaxer involved in the Erickson Project? I was just about to share this link before I saw your post. The photo seems laughably fake. The people struck me as either disingenuous or delusional, which makes me wonder, what attracts these people to bigfoot? You practically gain nothing by hoaxing, so whats the attraction? That photo looked either superimposed or like a model head. When I hear about the linebacker type build, and a three to four foot shoulder width, I cannot picture that little bobble head on top. Sorry for sounding weird, but it's disconcerting to think we're being elaborately hoaxed again, for practically no reason. I guess in fields like biology, you must be accomplished, and therefore competent, to be heard. Our field is less rigorous on screening I guess. People just walk in and start getting attention. bipedalist Posted May 17, 2011 BFF Patron Posted May 17, 2011 Looks alot like one of the model heads on one of the BF TV network shows. In fact, much like one I think Bill Munns might have appeared on.
Bill Posted May 17, 2011 Posted May 17, 2011 Yes, the photo above shows 5 heads I made for a MonsterQuest program where I was experimenting with five different shaped heads, each mounted on a mechanism that allowed the head (and a shoulder structure) to be pushed along like a walk, and the head could turn to look back at camera. It was to see how the various head shapes would appear, on film, at a low image resolution level, to see if the tests could help us finalize a head shape for the PGF subject. Bill
Guest Posted May 17, 2011 Posted May 17, 2011 I know for a fact that that is a pic of MK Davis's Bluff Creek Massacre Trophy presented to him by John Green, Bob Gimlin and Bobby Short for his contribution towards bf reseach following his recent retirement from the field.

Bill Out of curiousity, which of those five heads ended up to be the best match?
Bill Posted May 18, 2011 Posted May 18, 2011 Sallaranda: As I recall, the middle one and the one to the left of it in the photo were both close matches. The far right is basically normal human, and the far left is basically normal gorilla. Probably hard to tell from that photo, but that's how they were sequenced. Bill

Bill That part scared me a little. I saw the head turn out of the corner of my eye and I jumped. I had to pause the show so I could collect myself.
Bill Posted May 18, 2011 Posted May 18, 2011 Villa: The show producers set the test filming schedule too soon, for their convenience, and i was somewhat rushed making the push rig and the head turn mechanism. I wished that I could have made the heads do a smoother more natural turn. Such is the challenge of trying to do research sponsored by a TV channel. They seem to want everything in their schedule, and research efforts are best if allowed to take their own time. Bill 1

BobbyO Posted May 18, 2011 SSR Team Posted May 18, 2011 and research efforts are best if allowed to take their own time. Bill Absolutlutely Bill.. I hope we all take a mental note of that too, myself included..
