steenburg Posted May 18, 2011 Posted May 18, 2011 (edited) Here is my file report on the Brisson hoax attempt of July 20, 2009. I refer to a second man as well whom at first I thought was cahoots with Randy. Now I think he was just gullible and for some reason performed his own little drama on this hike. It was this second fellow who asked me to come along on this hike in the first place, something I heard later on Randy was not to pleased about. There were several members of the B.C. Chapter of the BFRO along on this hike as well, spending their time and hard earned money on a hoax attempt. Needless to say they were not to em pressed. The report (B.C. file#10166) follows. Hoax in Golden Ears Park FILE#10166 LOCATION; Golden Ears Park, Maple Ridge, B.C. DATE: July 20Th, 2009 @ Many other occurrences over the last six years REPORT BY: Thomas Steenburg I really don't want to get into the long history of these two individuals. Suffice to say that their attempt to pull the wood over my eyes this past Tuesday, July 20, 2009 was pathetic to say the lest. 5 members of the B.C. Chapter of the B.F.R.O. also got to see this nonsense first hand. The sad thing about all this is that Mr. Brissions original reports of 2005 may have indeed been true? But after all this nothing he claims can be taken seriously I was already aware of fake photo's showing a head behind a large old growth tree stump, which Randy claimed to have shot last May? He didn't seem to sure of the date when I asked him about it? But during this days 3 Kilometre walk through the trees the rock throwing, or to be more accurate the small stone throwing, always seem to occur the few times Randy was able to slip behind or to the side just out of site for a moment. Then on Q They both would, "What was that"! or "Did you hear that"? This occurred on a number of instances along the trail even before we met up with the B.F.R.O. team already there. From that moment on I did my best to try and keep Randy ahead of myself on the trail. And consulted with Darcy and David of the B.F.R.O. team, Between we decided to make sure someone was behind Randy at all times. Also Cindy was advised to. The other researcher whom at this point I was unsure if he was in on the games or a gullible victim. Seemed to want the group to split up? He said the smaller the better? O.K I will give him that. though It must be pointed out that only the group with these two had stones thrown while the other 200 yards behind or so had no such incidents! It was during this time that the other researcher, (name withheld) suddenly did the old startled shuffle with "Was that a rock"! kicking stones on the ground with his foot? Can't say if the stones were intentionally kicked but this was done twice, And he must of known from my reaction that I wasn't buying it! Also on this incident unknown to them Cindy had walked ahead of the group and was sitting on the trail side waiting for us to catch up! He didn't know she was sitting there when he suddenly did the old "Was that a rock" foot shuffle with her sitting there only about 30 feet ahead! She told me that she saw nothing and he just seemed to do this for nothing.? Well by this point all were feeling that this was some sort of show being played and enough was enough. But as we were about to step off the trail and recross the main road another stone this time struck a trail side tree with a loud Wang! Like a pitchers fast ball and I observed Randy throw a stone, then bring his right hand back from behind his back and place it back in his right hand pants pocket? This was the only time he managed to get behind David. David was sure from the sound motion coming from Randy that the stone was thrown by him. But just to be sure Cindy quickly went back on the trail which switched back at this point, thus resulted in only a few hundred yards of bush between us and the trail we were on. David the mountain goat that he is went into the bush, on course nothing was heard or seen. It was a big mistake to throw this last stone on his part! At no time up till I left for home did any of us let on that we knew a hoax was being played out. Later the two went back to join the B.F.R.O. team for some night watching. the team whom had planed to stay for another night in Golden Ears were so put off by all the games that they decided to leave the next day for the Ruby Creek area. There are other factors as well, Tracks, tree branch stuff and more of which I will not go into at this time. Nor can I comment about other stuff which I was not there to witness occurring when others were out with the these two. but on Tuesday July 20. 2009 the stone throwing claimed by these two fellows to be Sasquatch related was a hoax perpetrated by one or maybe even both of them! BobbyO Posted May 18, 2011 SSR Team Posted May 18, 2011 Absolutely mindboggling, i'll never understadn the mentality behind this kind of thing.. Anyway's, thanks Tom for posting that.. As you say too, the Guy may have had some previous stuff going on but after this nonsense, i couldn't believe a word of anything that comes from him.. Certainly in a decent area for it to have happened.. What's your take on that Picture Tom ??
Guest Posted May 21, 2011 Posted May 21, 2011 Susi, I know you are a true Lady, loving and caring person. You always give everyone the benefit of the doubt and take them at their word. You remind me of my Mom. However, you are building yourself up for the big fall. You're getting too excited and I fear you'll come crashing down like a meteor later on. Step back, take a break for a week and see how it looks to you after that. Gigantor, For you to say that I remind you of your mom is the sweetest thing anyone could possibly say to me. Thank you and major hugs to you from me . I'm not too worried about being disappointed by the findings. Since I believe that the BF species is real, I have discovered that I now have developed *patience*. Sooner or later, BF will be acknowledged as a species, IMVOHO>>>
Guest tracker Posted May 28, 2011 Posted May 28, 2011 (edited) I agree with what Adrian Erickson is trying to do. Finally someone with a thick wallet has gotten involved. How many times have we wished for this in the past? So they may have run into some roadblocks and delays but thats expected. He's not over hyping his evidence and his priority is the science. He knows his doc film and evidence will be heavily scrutinized no matter how great or convincing it is. So it's understandable he's waiting for all the peer review and DNA testing to be completed first. Then he has to include the final assessments in his documentary. Some like J.Green have already waited 44 years for better scientific proof. So a few more months or a year is nothing. JMO tracker, Edited May 28, 2011 by tracker

JMO tracker, Yes, Erickson had the good video 2-3 years ago and was going to release it. He thought that was going to prove BF once and for all. Then he realized, sensibly, that for the scofftics skeptics no video is ever going to be good enough. It will always be a guy in a monkey suit, no matter what. So he decided he would need more evidence than just the video. That's when he started the DNA project. A 1-2 punch. Personally, I don't think even that will be enough for the s]scofftics[/s] skeptics, but I think it will convince some people anyway, and it's going to "blow the lid off the field." That's what Chris Noel said about the Kentucky Project video: "It's going to blow the lid off the field." Others are saying: "Better than the P-G film." ****! This is so exciting!
Guest Quatch water Posted May 29, 2011 Posted May 29, 2011 That's when he started the DNA project. I believe that Dave Paulides was the first person to send in DNA samples and get some type of results. There are some references to this in one of his books. He also has been on the radio saying he has samples in to be tested.

Yeah well some people still think the earth is flat and the universe revolves around it...No joke either, they don't even live under rocks. People are ridiculous, I would almost say by nature. No helping it. We almost have enough evidence just as is to put most nay-sayers in the same boat as the flat-earthers, the crap has just been scattered all over the 4 corners of the world XD The vast majority of people are brick minded as so closed minded their brains don't even have a door or a window, they don't give a care about the truth.
Guest tracker Posted May 29, 2011 Posted May 29, 2011 My instincts are telling me they've run into other problems of the human kind. JMO tracker,
Xion Comrade Posted May 30, 2011 Posted May 30, 2011 My instincts are telling me they've run into other problems of the human kind. JMO tracker, I talked to Melba but a few weeks ago, and she said they were very close, even very very close, to being finished and releasing. Some say it is planned for release by the end of spring. It's summer now XD
Guest Posted May 30, 2011 Posted May 30, 2011 Within this field there is always the likelihood of personality conflicts between individuals, plus scientists don't always share the same goals as funders. I wouldn't be surprised if there was tangent progress rates between parties causing delays too.

Silver Fox, This IS exciting, if it plays out the way you present it. I do have a personal question: why all the angry references to skeptics ("scoftics") in your posts? It seems that many of your posts, no matter what the subject matter, include a brick thrown at skeptics. If the Erickson Project and Paulides are set to advance the issue positively in favor of the existence of a real biological entity, that would be great news for all of us interested in Bigfoot phenomena. Also, have you considered if these upcoming developments will force not only skeptics to change their mind, but may also confute popular advocate and true believer ideas concerning Bigfoot as a relic giant ape?

Some say it is planned for release by the end of spring. It's summer now XD Sorry I don't really follow the project that closely to know all the names etc. Who's Melba? They also got to choose wisely how to release it. Sure put out a dvd but I was hoping for another big screen movie like Mysterious Monsters (76). Allot of the old timers in this were hooked by that one. Summer is good Most are going to discover that were encountering more than just ape's IMO. So what ever they got on film that's not blurry and not a mile away will be great to see. Good luck trying to film a northern or PNW one like that. Although i do like that clip from Vancouver Isl. Got to hand it to them either way for not rushing just the vid part without the science. How many could of held off doing that? JMO tracker, Edited May 30, 2011 by tracker

Some say it is planned for release by the end of spring. It's summer now XD If you talk to Melba again, just ask her what stage the paper is at. That will give a good indication of how much more time. BTW, the end of Spring is still about 3 weeks away.

Some say it is planned for release by the end of spring. It's summer now XD Hey maybe you could also ask them if they tried to track the Bf's? or thoughts of live capture or even a bang bang mystery solved ending? Hey I sure i am not the only one who's thought about just getting it over with? As harsh as that sounds all we need is one. Then all the BS about "if they exist" is flushed down where it belongs. Then we can move on to the studying and protecting stage where we should be at this point. just saying JMO tracker
BobbyO Posted June 5, 2011 SSR Team Posted June 5, 2011 Hey maybe you could also ask them if they tried to track the Bf's? or thoughts of live capture or even a bang bang mystery solved ending? Melba's the Person in the Lab T, she won't be the Person to ask for that.
