Guest Wookie73
I don't believe that a military career gives one any more credibility as a witness than those police who claim to see UFO's. i'm ex military, but that doesn't mean that if I say that a UFO was dropping off crates of Bigfoots that my family, or anyone else, is required to believe it. Not an attack on you Tautriadelta, I am just tryin to dispel the fallacy that authority figures and/or military types have more credibility as witnesses. Crittergetter
Well, I'm pretty well known for my odd interests, but I tend to keep them far away from my family and the majority of my friends. I know many of them don't care as much as I do about things like Bigfoot or my various paranormal interests. I am especially separated from my siblings, because I'm the youngest. As a result, it's not that they actively think I'm stupid or don't know what I'm talking about, they've just never considered the possibility that I have any sort of intellectual power. While this is demonstrably false and they would seek to deny such a view if questioned about it, I have no doubt in my mind that they would be unwilling to engage in a intelligent and rational conversation concerning things like Bigfoot and that my attempts to engage them in such a conversation would only be met with ridicule, even if it is behind my back. I can speak to my parents in a serious fashion about such things, though it has been a very long time since I did.
Guest BFSleuth
I guess I'm luckier than most, since my brother is an eyewitness. He and I share the passion. However, most of my friends are either skeptical or just not interested.
Guest
The secret to "Finding Bigfoot" IMO is to watch it with 6 to 10 year old children who love animals and adventure . It will then be revealed to be the greatest cultural acheivement OF ALL TIME !! This is so true, My kids are 8, 7 and 5 and love watching the show. It has created a genuine interest in them. Whenever we are camping they want to do stuff they saw on the show.

Guest
I read: A quivering dog crouched in the corner of its kennel. Bolt-quick, the creature was across the road and over the guard-rail. Crrunnchh…crrunnchh…crrunnch in the leaves outside my tent. It was outside a restaurant, feeding from a dumpster. The pig squealed, then gurgled…you could hear the thud-thud of a large fist methodically breaking its bones. A muffled grunt nearby, a distant moan or yowl, the rapid thwack-thwack-thwack of stick on hardwood saying “I’m here, where are you?†Whoop…whoop, whoop said the little tow-headed boy. “Yep, that’s how they sound,†said the man walking beside him. In a blizzard, at 40 below… Three of them, an adult and two little ones… Grrr, grrr, ch-ch-ch, woof-woof , yowww… all bigfoot memes. Now what is the syntax? Was that an old wickiup in the dark timber on the ridge? No… too far East for a Ute… and no firepit. Hmmmm… A deer screamed, then all was silent. It was silhouetted against a white goose-neck trailer. “They are all individuals,†she wrote. He sat on a log talking quietly with them. Some murmured back; some moved closer. All too soon he was freezing and had to get back to the truck. Share these? No Way... But show my 35 yr old son a copy of BFRO #1354 and, because it happened 2 miles from where he grew up, he doesn't laugh. RE
Guest
Yes, some of my best friends used to mock me and make fun of me all the time due to my belief in the creature. However, I recent;y sat them down to explain to them (in a rather calm manner) that I am not crazy and there is a lot of evidence for an unknown creature in North America. I showed them all the videos, all the evidence, all the anatomical evidence in the videos, and all the documentaries, which heightened their enthusiasm a little bit, although they, for some reason, got a little more excited when they heard the Les Stroud interview and his encounter. However, it wasn't until we all went out into the forest and showed them how big and vast the forest really is. Oh, and when they finally had an experience for themselves, they no longer make fun of me and really do support me and my belief in this unknown cryptic. Guest OntarioSquatch
I'd much rather talk about it with someone that already believes in Bigfoot rather than someone who puts it in the same category as fairy's and unicorns. But then again those might exist too
