Guest tracker
Here we go, with red circles and everything... See? the camera is moving left to right. Hey Gig how did you post the pics like that? That may come handy for posting consecutive shots in the future. You know like when a BF's is leaving the area and is flipping me the bird. Guest tracker
Hey Everyone, Here' s some history of the Bon Echo Cloyne area early winter . There a few other reports up that way i'll save for my return trip in March. http://www.gcbro.com/CAont0008.html http://www.gcbro.com/CANont0010.html http://www.bfro.net/GDB/show_report.asp?id=13706 Bonus sunset pic off of Hwy 7. Not sure if i posted this one already? this lake is on route so what the heck. The big guys can be anywhere up here. There's thousand of lakes and unlimited forest land for them in the north. Makes you wonder why they approach human areas when they could easily bypass us unnoticed? Scavaging or curious maybe? Feel free to post some pics from your adventures with some info about them. See you in the field tracker.
Guest
Loving the pictures from Bon Echo. The locals spoke of finding deer carcases on the frozen lake every year. Assumed to be from slip'n falls off the cliffs. At the time it struck me as unfortunate. Now it just causes me to go Hmmmm?
Incorrigible1
Loving the pictures from Bon Echo. Agreed. Tracker, beautiful, heart-breakingly beautiful photos and terrain.
Guest tracker
Hey thanks, I don't take them all of them for the beauty most of the ones you don't see anyways. Sometimes I run out of time and so I'll snap off some shots of areas i want to get back into or got a gut feeling about. Sometimes you catch something on film you didn't notice with your eyes. I am sure one of these times i'll catch a cheeky bugger following, standing still beside a tree or on a cliff watching me leave? So it's kind of like providing my own covering fire as I pull back. Sure footed cautious deer with great vision falling off cliffs where there's no food for them anyways. Hmmm. Sounds like PR at work. I try to remember that tidbit the next time i talk with the warden or super up there.
Guest
In the summer the deer like the cliff's over the lake as it keeps the bugs off them. THAT I have on camera. LOL!! I have no idea what they'd be doing along the edge in winter, except the habit of using same trails? Just giving you a head's up is all.

Also we had alot of freezing rain, so that = flooding up here with all the water. If it's not Bf' related i just post them in my share a pic/story thread. No worries. Guest tracker
Wow!!!! There were two others that appeared to be prints? a possible left heel and a very deep right in sand/mud near by. My kids and dog got to them first and wrecked the deep one by puting their own feet in it. My kids are in those pics so i never post those ones. I don't know? the area is remote but someone could of mentioned I was keeping an eye on it and so hoaxed it? It's a pretty good one though and so i cast it for my kids show tell. I not taking it too seriously. If one was near I would of escorted my family back to the van and then gone after it.
Guest Cervelo
If I were to be so lucky! It would be all about the context of the find. Far enough back in the boondocks or recent activity it would be hard for me to contain myself in more ways than one. Most of those tracks look a day old to me at most!? As always thanks for sharing and if you every want some back up I'm there !!!! Edited April 5, 2011 by Cervelo
