Guest gerrykleier
Reasonably clear sighting bya the Kern River (Calif Sierras)-broad daylight, some distance, some other factors. Thought it was a 'Gorilla' at first. Not a long sighting, but not especially brief-maybe 15-20 seconds. Had a tree shaking & rock throwing encounter beside the same River at Night, this time on the Valley floor. Full Moon or nearly so, as I recall. Was going to confront rock throwers with 2 other people when tree shaking started and we all three simultaneously paniced and ran. It was odd at the time, I asked myself why I was running. Panic was sudden and immediate. Rock throwing could have been people, Tree shaking seemed beyond human capability-very eerie-but with enough leverage, who knows...Panic could have been nothing more than ordinary fear. Was quite odd though,Tree knocking a number of times in the Sierras as a kid-very puzzling to me then. I rememembered all the above for years and puzzled over them, but except for the sighting, never thought in a million years to associate them w/ BF, about which I knew very little. Very loud wood knocking; some rock clacking that circled our camp at night; unusual whistling 2 years ago in the Sierras. Also a few other incidents that were brief and unexplainable as a kid etc in the Mts, that looking back with a different point of view are open to interpretation as sasquatch. Could have been other animals etc. GK
Guest
Night time clear sighting of young sasquatch coming out of our tent as we were returning to the camp site (we had left the area for a few hours). Camp site area lit by low burning camp fire. Next day, extreme uneasy feeling when I returned to camp site to clean. Heard loud, clear, very deep grunt sound. Proceeded to break land speed record in removing myself from the area. After returning with my father about 15 minutes later, uneasy feeling was gone, no evidence of bigfoot...to this day I can't believe we didn't look for foot prints! This occured on my parent's lake front property that I grew up on.
Guest
I voted other, because I've seen a picture of an alley in florida with 30 sasquatches hiding in foliage.
Guest
Quoting Asarjip Night time clear sighting of young sasquatch coming out of our tent as we were returning to the camp site (we had left the area for a few hours). Camp site area lit by low burning camp fire. How interesting. Coming out of your tent? Did it take anything? Did the tent smell....squatchy? I don't suppose the little sasquach had blonde curls? I think I recall a childhood story......Goldilocks and the Three Campers?
Guest
Rock tossing, peripheral possible sighting, uneasiness, abject fear, shadowing, vocalizations/chuffing, whistles, wood knocks. The first encounter was trading whistles. Second was trading whistles and knocks (and abject terror at one point for exactly 10 minutes). Third, I thought I saw something black/grey and big out of the corner of my eye. I have witnesses for the other encounters. One friend with me heard brush snaps and a wood snap while picnicking with all our kids. Another was with me when we heard vocalizations/chuffing and were "escorted" out (shadowing) and a huge brush snap in the one evening encounter I've had. All these were within a mile of each other My son heard wood knocks and rocks being tossed into the slough another day nearing dusk, a few miles down stream from the original sites. I have poor recordings of the second encounter being picked apart by the BFRO researchers up in Portland. Guest
Extremely clear mid-day sighting in the GPNF. As well as other "close" encounters while camping.
salubrious Posted November 11, 2012 Moderator Share Posted November 11, 2012 Rock clacking from less than 30 feet.
Guest
Dang, I should have added rock clacking and peed or pooed myself to the choices. Never thought of tongue popping! And for Salubrious, I guess I could have had "bypassed chance to run them over." So, Austin M, can you tell us more or tell us where you have written it already for us to read? If it's not already online, you could post here or on the Sightings by Members thread..... We all love the stories of encounters.
Rockape
Possible rock (actually pebble) throwing. I say possible because I don't know what was throwing them. Edited November 11, 2012 by Rockape

Guest
If I were brand new coming here for information, this is exactly what i'd want to know - what do they DO? How do they behave? How do I recognize them? Thanks, nice poll.
Guest
Although I checked off 9 of the things experienced on the list.. I ask myself, what does this all add up to, that i could relate to someone that hasn't experienced any of it ? It adds up to an unconcluded mystery, that I still can't even explain fully, to myself.
