Do you think your going to convince any of us who are saying "We want to wait and see, what happens"

No. It's obvious NOTHING will convince some of you. Go ahead and wait and see, what do I care? I will continue to point out the inconsistencies and lies.

Hi Folks, I've gotten too far behind in this thread to ever catch up.

Has Derek provided a write up of his visit? Has he gone yet? Is he still planning on going?

Thx all.

The difference I see between "other groups in bigfooting" and this tall tale, is that he is a self admitted serial hoaxer. Other 'groups' who have been caught hoaxing don't get a second chance either, at least not with discerning members of the BF community. Hoaxers who have been outed are relegated to playing for an audience comprised of the gullible, ignorant, and uninformed. There will always be an audience for these idiots. Just not a very discriminating one.

Just so i understand you calling me Gullible, Ignorant or Uniformed because I want to wait and see what happens?

I have a question for all the Hoax believers?

Do you think your going to convince any of us who are saying "We want to wait and see, what happens"

Again you talk like we are not aware of the Hoax's RD has pulled in past or even the information that is conflicting.

I agree with Belmar, I am certainly not trying to "convince" you or anyone of anything. I'll use a quote from Bill Munns from page 19 of the Matilda thread,

"All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing." (Edmund Burke)

There are facets of this story that many of the proponets conviently ignore. No one seems to want to acknowledge those points, but consistently change the subject of the thread. Some of us will also consistently point out these various speculations from our point of view. This has gone on now for 408 pages, round and round and back around again.

You talk about us being drawn in to the Hoax.

I don't think I am being drawn in. I believe I am just keeping an open mind. I believe people can change.

So I will give him the benefit that he has what he claims. Until its shown 100% to be a hoax. Or its shown he actually does have a body.

If it is a Hoax then I will help Jacki kick his Butt :ninja:

Absolutely not, no-one's mind will be changed. I've said it before, but people are psychologically entrenched and emotionally involved in this story. Some people (no-one on this thread) will believe it's true even AFTER Rick Dyer has admitted it. They'll claim he was forced to confess, it's a cover-up etc'. That's just how much some people want to believe. You might think that's far fetched, but it's not, believe me.

Just to tell you a little anecdote, that is by no means an isolated incident, but in my spare time, I am a magician, specialising in close-up but for the last 12 years or so (can't really remember!) I have been specialising in mind-reading and mentalism (I've been interested in magic since I was 8 years old). Although I am not a professional, I have often thought about it and been encouraged to by friends and family. But I have performed at weddings and parties, even on stage in front of hundreds of people, and been paid for it.

Anyhow, there are many effects I do that would have you believe, even for a short while, that I am reading your inner-most thoughts, and that I have a special gift. As part of what I do, I can also tell someone's fortune. I mean tell them specific events about their past, present and future. But, essentially, it's a parlour trick. It's not easy to do, but can be learned, and relies heavily on psychological ruses. I have had people come up to me, bearing in mind I have told them prior that I actually can't read minds, asking me to do private readings. I've even had a lady ask me to contact her dead mother. I'm serious.

The point is, if you can hook someone in on an emotional level, you can tell them pretty much anything and there is a good chance that they will believe you.

I am not saying anyone involved in this thread is easily led. I am saying some people are, and even if you do tell them the truth, they ignore it.

Best.

Lee

Cath, this thread is skating on very very thin ice as it is. I did not read any such personal comments in PattyWagon's comments. Please keep the personal accusatons out of this or this thread will be locked for good as per Mods statements numerous times throughout this thread.

I agree with you but I will add that I think some people on this thread will continue to believe. If it comes from RDs mouth, they will say he was forced to confess. That was attempted with the daisy story but did not pick up steam. I foresee a scenario where the movie comes out with no dead BF story in it but RD says that they didn't show it for whatever reason but he really really really has a BF body! And people will believe him.

Heck, RD has lied so many times - I wouldn't believe him if he said he was on fire --- and he actually was.

Ah, this made me laugh out loud.

I was talking specifically about the homeless guy and his story.

You talk about inconsistencies but you accept them from the homeless person. you give him a pass because you lived like that in your past.

I am sitting and waiting and speculating is all. I am not blind to all the past stuff or what RD story changes. But for me its not skin of my shoulder waiting to see what happens.

Again, it has been pointed out that the Dyer proponents are cherry picking what the kid says. Kid says film crew was there, so the proponents decide he's telling the truth... until he says that he saw Rick leave and that he didn't leave with a body, then the proponents start insinuating that he's a drug addict, and his word cannot be counted on.

I'm not giving the kid a pass, where I am giving Musky and RD none. As far as I know the kid is either telling the truth or lying out his bum. I'm asking "Which is it?"

Either the kid is a dope addict and everything he says is a lie, OR you accept his whole testimony, even the parts that do not fit the Dyer narrative. The only inconsistencies involving this kid are the Pro-RD crowd cherry picking what he said.

I would like to see everyone who believes to be a hoax as well.

Start demanding the same Transparency you want from this to the other groups in bigfooting who say they have things yet don't show it because waiting for some such things.

Have you checked out the Matilda thread? Or the Elbe thread? I know I've seen you post in the Ketchum thread. Looks very much to me like people are holding others feet to the fire on many many aspects of bigfoooting.

I am not cherry picking, what I am saying is that the kid did not see a Bf body because my feeling is that they were deeper in than the original camp and that the body was removed but not from that area, so ofcourse the kid did not see it.

Camps a,b and c guys, do you think these camps were close together. If you have listened to RD he has said that he does not believe in staying in one place if after a few days nothing has happened.
