Guest
LCB, why continue trying methods that have never produced results and toss aside new ideas to gather evidence because it could be "messy"? I'm just curious. Each idea I've brought up in this thread of trying something different has been rejected for seemingly no reason, just to return to speculation of some new revelation (this time it's the BF afterlife) with no genuine attempt to gather real evidence. Am I the only one who notices this?
LeafTalker
LCB, I'm sorry to hear about your cat, too. Sounds like she was surrounded with love while she was here.
Lake County Bigfooot
Perhaps because it is much easier to speculate than to actually be able to get the evidence you think should accompany activity. I love your ideas Nod4eight, but my half heartedness is due to lack of time and energy and the general feeling that I will be disappointed. That is no excuse, I should be trying harder to gain that key piece of evidence, if for nothing else than to prove to myself their present. Lake County Bigfooot
Thanks for all the well wishes, we are moving on and rescuing another kitty to partner with our 13 year old, she needs to have another cat around as we work so much. I saw your pictures on the BFRO sight as soon as they were posted, as I check the recent activity routinely, nice capture Sheri!! My golf season has beat me up, worked 6 days in a row and finished with a 14 hour day, add to that a 2 hour commute an hour per way...uuuugggghhhh....I hope it is worth it for the reference. I have discovered a new internet radio show I would recommend at dogmanencounters.com, the two interviews were fascinating. I also listen to Sasquatch Chronicles as that is the best for hearing pure information and not so much fluff. I like MNBRT radio as a close second as well. I mention this because it is often hard to get anything new here, and that is what most of us are looking for anyway.
frap10
My condolences on the loss of your cat. Its never easy. I think its great that your going the rescue route - that's what we do. Also thanks for the listening tips. I'll be checking them out.
Lake County Bigfooot
Recordings have been null of any activity as of late, even the coyotes are silent. Full moon yesterday and cooler weather may change the patterns, last year it really was active into October/November. Right before snowfall I had a lot of strange stuff going down, then it all stopped abruptly. Year to year month to month things vary considerably so you can never be certain, so I guess I keep plugging along recording and looking for evidence. When I get something interesting I will post again. Edited September 9, 2014 by Lake County Bigfooot
coffee2go
There should be less crickets, katydids and frog noise in the fall as well, which will make it easier to hear any distant wood knocks and other sounds.
Guest
^^^ unless wood knocking occurs during the summer or winter primarily. Then any woodknocks we hear may be due to human activity. chopping wood or having fun in the woods. during the winter, trees make noise. wood popping and locking I guess. When does the forest not make noise?

Lake County Bigfooot
Wow, what a difference a year makes. Last year I was processing activity of all kinds at this time of year, strange recordings, objects being thrown, responses of throwing apples and then being thrown back. This fall has taught me that last fall was really unique. Last year my apple tree had a bonanza year. The branches were nearly and sometimes breaking due to the stress of the apple load, this year almost no apples. Last year seemingly constant activity when the apples were present, this year almost none. I guess what I have learned is the apple tree played a key role in attracting the two Sasquatch to my property, and this year some other unsuspecting property is hosting them. I only hope that next year the apples are abundant and the scent carries across the area once more.....well I still hope that what I thought was a late fall resurgence occurs despite the apples, and maybe I can prove a strange theory I have of them batting geese out of the sky above my marsh, oh yah that included them using a decoy call that took several individuals to pull off, perhaps what I heard deep in the night was merely poachers, yet I never recorded a gun shot only the strangest sounding geese on the planet. Lake County Bigfooot
Just sitting down and listening to some of last years recordings confirms what I said above, it really is dramatically different The fact is that I know last year had exceptionally odd activity compared to a more normal year as this, so simply from the amount of strange activity captured last year I can surmise that something out of the normal had occurred Edited September 18, 2014 by Lake County Bigfooot
Sunflower
One guy around Honobia describes their movements like cows in a pasture. Just imagine an enormous pasture consisting of millions of acres though and you get the gist. We have found they consistently follow the food and water. Guest
If u are out in the middle of nowhere i highly doubt its someone chopping wood edit~forgot this is the urban thread Trees make noise of their own accord. especially in the winter and summer. Woodpeckers also make knocking sounds year round and it is not always rat-a-tat-tat. And while one might think he is alone in the woods another might be thinking the same thing over the hill. Unless one checks these possibilities then one does not know. I seldom hear of anyone checking over the hill or on the other side of the hedge due to heightened fear of trespassing on a bigfoot. If you don't see bigfoot making the noise then you do not know the noise was made by bigfoot. plain and simple.
