Guest
I'm on the fence as I've said before. I've tried to balance this topic out a little bit. I think if they are there, there has to be ways to collect more than eyewitness reports and recordings of wood knocks. I'm not accusing anyone of hoaxing, but I can get you sounds of wood knocks tonight. Maybe the knocks you heard in Nebraska were the result of some over-enthusiastic BFers who watched too much Finding Bigfoot and drove to the only wooded area in 100 miles and were trying to elicit a return call. You are right LCB, you never said what you saw was alien in nature, although by definition it was a UFO to you. It seems that, as more often than not, this topic has eroded to the "yes, it is" vs the "no, it's not" debate. Sasfooty
What's the use in us wasting our time gathering hair, fingerprints, tracks, mapping where reports came from, etc, etc, etc??? It would just be giving the skeptics more material to scoff at. They don't want to be convinced, & personally, I don't care if they ever GET convinced. We don't need any physical evidence to know what is going on around our places. I spent about 4 years diligently gathering evidence for something that I was seeing & smelling regularly & hearing every day & night. I sent hair to the Ketchum study, & it was presumed to be BF. What good did that do? Go & look at the hundreds of pages of argument about it, then come back & tell us we need to collect more hair. The ones that can't "find" them need to examine their capability to comprehend what is around them & stop blaming people that do see them for not showing them proof. Lake County Bigfooot
Well at least the thread has seen a little life, I know I sound like a lunatic at times, I present this stuff to my wife, who almost has her PHD, and she encourages me to press on, she knows what she heard. She also knows I am honest, and would not make anything up. In fact I am my own hardest critic, I labor over whether anything I have recorded or experienced in meaningful, she agrees with me that I am not crazy, and has been with me during on of the throwing incidences, and swore that it was what was happening. I played the critic, not her
Lake County Bigfooot
Stirring the Pot with Dmaker is good fun, I want him to react, and give me something to think about, iron sharpens iron so to speak. I had this kind of discourse with my older brother, who boasts a rare IQ. He would always argue the existence of this or that with me, made me think, a lot of arguments at Thanksgiving, but we loved all of it, though we stressed out a few family members who did not get our emotions. We would become heated only to emphasize our line of argument, it was never in any way personal, so I hope Dmaker does not take my sarcasm personally. Guest lightheart
Not to worry Lake. Don't let the buzzards get to you. The existence of Sasquatch is a fascinating thing to ponder and research. I find it rests my mind from the chaos of work and modern life.Being out in the woods is peaceful and restorative. Relax a bit and enjoy not knowing just pondering. Both the objective evidence gathering and the subjective insights that accompany the experiences can be fun.

I have no problem knowing what is going on around me. And I can supply evidence of my encounters that defy logic. Such as a bear I found in a hole in September. I was able to get pictures. I have photos of a bear carcass I found while clearing trails where no one else had been for weeks. I've had birds land on me while still hunting. I've still hunted my way into the middle of a herd of bedded down elk. And within 10 yards of battling bull elk. I bonked a bear on the nose, and stuffed a couple of live ground squirrels into my pocket. I hunt with a self made hickory bow, with self made arrows. I have had a buck inside of my cabin and caught bats inside my hat. I can't count the number of fish I have caught with my hands. And I can provide photos of most of this, because I knew that people probably wouldn't believe my stories. Yet you and all the others don't provide ANY evidence of your FANTASTIC claims. You claim they visit you all the time, you claim to long for the time you did not know about them - yet with all this longing - you cannot or will not provide evidence. I do not believe you at all. I do not question your ability to comprehend what is around you, it's clear to me that it's not what you believe it is. I know you will respond to this saying you don't care what I think, and that's fine. But I can back up what I say, I doubt you can. So please never question my ability to comprehend what is around me. Edited October 19, 2013 by See-Te-Cah NC GG 2 &
See-Te-Cah NC
Moderator Statement: 1. BFF has one rule above all else - Behave like adults! What do we mean by this? Imagine the forum is run by a bunch of people who have invited you over for dinner - we expect sensible, well thought out conversation. If you start getting personal with other diners, you are likely to be ejected. This not your house after all, you don't have a right to sit at someone else's table and disrupt things. 2. Do not make things personal. Attack the argument, not the arguer. No name calling. Terms like ‘liars’ and ‘idiots’ are beyond the pale and will not be tolerated here. 3. Remember at all times that this forum is here to discuss the subject of Bigfoot, not to discuss other members. If you don't have something nice to say about someone, you might want to consider not saying anything. 4. Respect other members and their right to their opinion. http://bigfootforums.com/index.php?app=forums&module=extras§ion=boardrules Guys, I'm closing this topic for a bit because some folks appear to have trouble adhering to our rules. First of all, if you see postings that are aimed directly at the member and not the topic of discussion, please report it instead of responding in kind. My thanks to those that did so. Failure to do so, and responding to posts in violation and quoting the content, just causes more work for the staff and the closure of topics. Secondly, attack the argument, not the arguer. Calling others "liars" or saying that you think they're lying isn't going to fly here. The term "scoftic" is also derogatory in nature, as well. You can make your point without being insulting, and you are expected to do so. Sometimes I wonder if any of you bother to read the rules at all. There are two links above that each of you need to read. You will be held accountable to them as far as your posting behavior is concerned. Again, my apologies to those that weren't conducting themselves against the rules. See

Guest
Catching bats is rather easy actually. It's something I learned from my grandmother, she told me how her grandfather used to do it. He was the zoo keeper at the Boise zoo and this was back in the early 1900s or so. Anyway, first you need a place with bats. I live near a pond and bats like to skim the pond in the twilight catching bugs. I didn't have a lot of bats, just due to the terrain around here, I live on the edge of the Great Basin (I'm sure you are familiar with the terrain I'm talking about JDL), they like to have a secured place to hang and sleep through the day. I have a black hat (a felt flat hat that buckaroos wear, often confused for Amish) that I hung in a tree, but was accessible for me to reach easily. Next morning there was a bat in there. Had I wanted, it would be easy enough to place a net over the hat, but I didn't want to mess with it that bad, I just wanted to see if I could do it. I did that several nights in a row, enough for me to think I could attract more. Since then I have build a few bat boxes to encourage them to stick around here. Just like any other form of trapping: provide or find a place that will attract the target species in an area they live and you have a decent chance of catching them. Oh, I know there are more proficient still hunters than I in the woods. I've shared camps with some of them. But I have had some experiences that not a lot of people have had. I have not had the experiences that others have had, which is fine. As much as we try and as much time as we spend in the woods, modern humans will probably never acquire the same awareness as many wild animals - especially one with the reported intelligence of BF. My point was simply this - I don't appreciate someone who does not know me telling me that I am not capable to comprehend what is around me, I am very aware of my surroundings. Lake County Bigfooot
Sorry to any and all I may have offended, my statements were not serious, but I should have not directed them as I did, or stated my purpose as I did. I know that many of you are better outdoorsman than I. I fully appreciate all the comments made by Nod4eight, and I would in no way diminish your excellence in the woods, the still hunting ability is remarkable. I was not suggesting to any that they lack an experience due to any issue with their perception.(It is simply luck) It did not take any special perception to have my original experience, just working hearing. I am sure that we can move on a put anything negative behind us. As far as my honesty is concerned, I can guarantee you that I have not made anything here up. I may be wrong, maybe dead wrong, about some of my conclusions, I am wading my way through these muddy waters for the first time, I get over amped at times, hey consider what it feels like when your really believe your interacting with one of these things......and I will better read the rules to not busy the moderators with useless timewasting corrections Edited October 19, 2013 by Lake County Bigfooot
