Sasfooty
What do you think of the BFRO telling people that Bigfoot herds deer? So....do you think bigfoot doesn't herd deer?

slabdog
Fire eyes: A couple observations / thoughts. 1 - You seem very (read: overly) eager to criticize the BFRO and MM. That strikes me as odd since you have supposedly only heard about him from some other person. 2 - If in fact there is a Sasquatch in your area, it would seem to me (based on the aerial map view) that the area is an excellent "choke point" for any animals. In other words, most animals, and especially a large elusive primate, would stick to the tree line and creek to move about. 3- If in fact you saw what you did, and live in such close proximity to the area you claim to have observed it, I would spend less time here on the forum harping on others and more time walking that sandbar looking for footprint evidence to photograph and bring back to the BFF to share. slabdog
Don't leave gifts....please! If they disappear it only proves that "something" took them (kids, raccoon etc)...it doesn't prove a BF took them. Please don't waste your time on trinkets. Look for physical evidence. I think it would be fair to say that the folks researching the expansive wooded Pacific Northwest would die for the opportunity to exchange their hundreds of thousands of acres of thick woods in return for a 200 yard wide stretch of tree lined creek. Especially if they truly believed a BF actually inhabited that area. Slab
Guest fire eyes
Slabdog, lol harping you call it? I'm just passing on a comment & stating my judgement of this person/group if it indeed is true. I have noticed other members (in so many words ) don't like this person/group. Hmmmmm? Are you BFRO? Seem to of struck a nerve. And iam doing things to prove/disprove what i seen. Thats why i joined this fourm &for the most part glad i did. slabdog
Nope. I am not BFRO. (and I am sure that a couple people who know me on this forum could confirm that for you) I am, however, very interested in seeing this mystery resolved - if at all possible - and simply think that there are more productive ways for you to proceed with your new found interest. Heck...given that I live in the Midwest.....I and a couple others in the area might even be willing to come help if you could come to the table with some solid evidence that "confirms" that one is in the area. slabdog
Fire eyes: If you take your cell phone camera out looking for evidence, make sure that you take a ruler with you so that you can lay it side by side with any potential track evidence for size reference. take a look at this website to learn about an easy and affordable way to cast a track track casting Also When you go out, I strongly advise you keeping your cell phone camera attached to a short lanyard around your neck. That way, if you have another sighting, you can simply - and with very limited movement - lift the camera up slightly and just enough to get a stable picture shot. Pulling it from a purse, belt or pocket might be too much movement (which is not advisable for many reasons) and be very difficult to do under stress. Practice taking stable pictures with your lanyard camera prior to going out (maybe on another large animal that moves...like your dog). If you teach yourself some basic muscle memory for that action, it will be easier to do under stress. And it will teach you how to take a stable shot. If your telling the truth, the fact that your a single female might really be an interesting - and potentially productive - approach. Be prepared...and bring us back some good stuff. Guest fire eyes
That would be great! I know the lay of the land is way different here ,your area is so beautiful. My goal is to visit the pacific nw & colorado in the next year or two with the possibility of living there. The comment of trading land? Ya i know not much here, but its more than a 200 yard spread lol! In most spots along the river (not creek ) is 1/4 mile deep from water to open land. Sasfooty
Wow, Fire eyes!! You sure are getting a lot of "help" offers! Personally, I'd ignore all of them. You can probably do a lot better by yourself, without a bunch of strangers with guns, cameras, & loudspeakers, stomping around, running him off for you. I'd forget about getting "evidence" for them, too. Your eyes & ears can give you all the evidence you need, & nobody else is going to believe whatever you bring them anyway. You can find something that you think is great evidence & they'll say "That's nice, if it isn't hoaxed, now go out & get us some real evidence." They're never satisfied. And while you're tending to their business for them, you're wasting valuable time that you could be spending, getting to know the hairy guy. (Ask me how I know). Guest fire eyes
Slabdog, I'm really not understanding you IF iam really a single female? Thats creepy! Whats that mean?
slabdog
You misunderstood. My "if you are telling the truth" comment was pointed towards your sighting, not your gender or status. My "female" comment was based on the information you provided about your gender on this site And my "single" comment was referring to you walking in the creek way by yourself. There is anecdotal (and actual) evidence that primates feel less threatened by single females. Such as Diane Fossey No need to be creeped out... take a breath... I guess it depends on what "her" goal is. If she wants to "get to know the hairy guy" (which creeps ME out by the way) then do it the Sasfooty way. If she wants to prove that a BF lives in central Iowa....then do it "my" way. (And by the way..."my" way simply means to do her own research and to document the results.) I could really care less. It's her sighting...it's her neck of the woods...it's her decision.

There are a lot of people out there (and here) who will believe you if you bring well documented evidence to the table. You don't necessarily need to have the big monkey in a cage....just try to document some good evidence such as tracks. But again...do whatever you want.
