georgerm
The top levels of the BLM and Forest Service have highly trained Biologist, and they probably research Bigfoots, but keep the research hidden. Why? Remember the Spotted Owl, and how it shut down logging? Well proving bigfoot lives in our forest would probably shut down logging, big time. Would this information decrease revenue from private parks and resorts? What are your thoughts, and any proof our government hides this Bigfoot information from us. Would you take your family and kids to this resort if there are bigfoot sightings and unexplained kidnappings? SWWASAS Posted February 22, 2023 BFF Patron Share Posted February 22, 2023 I know of some situations about this. A BF field researcher who was a member of another forum reported that he found BF footprints someplace in the Mt St Helens area. He left the prints to return to his vehicle to get casting materials. On the trail he enountered a ranger. He reported the footprint find to the ranger. After he got the casting materials he returned to the footprint location only to discover they had been scrubbed out, apparently by the ranger. My own experience was in the Southern Cascades in Oregon. I was with a companion visiting a Forest Service Ranger Station to learn about hiking trails in the area. My companion, is known to be blunt, and came right out and asked the ranger where to go to have a chance to see BF. The ranger thought a second and told us about an area where there had been a couple of sigtings. She could have just said she did not know anything. In addtion to the WA State DNR, other organizations that might have knowledge are privately owned loggign companies. One area I got chased out of for peeing in front of a BF was Weyerhaeuser private forrest. If you think about it these areas have restricted access for the general public, and the last thing the company wants is to be sitting on forest that could be shut down for logging because of an endangered species. They chase human tresspassers out. I did not even know I was in their forest because I entered from the back side where it butted up against US Forest land. This was in the Gifford Pinchot in WA. In Oregon on the back side of Saddle Mountain, there is a patch of Weyerhaeuser Forest land. The Oregon National Guard uses the area for demolition training. A guard member I know was, there doing traing was driving in with some other guardsmen and as they drove through a gravel pit a couple of them looked to the side and plainly saw three BF standing there watching them go by. The area is remote, protected by Saddle Mountain to the South, and locked away from public access by the land owners. I believe there are some BFRO reports about encounters in the Saddle Mountain State Park.
guyzonthropus
Since no doubt both the government agencies and the timber companies are aware of the presence of sasquatch, I wonder if there's some understanding between them where the companies cut only so much from a given plot, maintaining viable habitat within it, in trade for not going the endangered species route, which would near certainly shut down lumber, not to mention mining, residential and industrial development. By maintaining it as privately held land, it splits up management duties. Securing sufficient habitat for the remaining sasquatch would prove far more far reaching than it did with the spotted owl or the marbled murrlet. And it would require that the government either disclose how many they know of, or do the research to see many there are.....

There is no PROOF of this. Assertion, sure. Logic, sure. But proof, _absolutely_ false. I assume that certain regional / local offices probably have unofficial knowledge of bigfoot. That the knowledge rises far enough in the hierarchy for there to be an official policy, thus THE AGENCY hides anything at all from us remains unproven, and for certain "THE GOVERNMENT", meaning **all agencies** together, not just one, is hiding bigfoot from us, is patently ridiculous. If there were reported sightings, of course I'd go and my kid would come along willingly. Unexplained kidnappings is an entirely different thing. I'd go. Would not take my kid. The notion that there's any connection is just that, and is without proof. Uh .. do you know what proof means? Because either way, you're misusing the word. I suppose it’s better than having it run down your leg 🤷🏻 The iteresting thing other than they go ape for a bit is it seems to be highly offensive to them. Not sure if they consider it a sign of disrespect or that you are marking their territory. Could be either or both. I was telling the late Dr John Bindernagel about the instances at a conference and he thought it highly interesting behavior and took notes. Another guy standing there listening said it had happened to him too. It is the classic gorrilla chest thumping thing which in one out of the two occurrances included a bluff charge too. Separate areas probably 30 miiles apart and and unlikely to have been the same BF. The bluff charge instance I was escorted back to my truck. It made sure that I heard it following me by breaking off stuff every now and then. Part of that was interesting in that it took a different route off trail than I did. It could easily have beaten me back and been waiting for me. That area still scares me. Last time I went in there the old logging road was so washed out in places I doubt that it is passible now.

SWWASAS Posted February 23, 2023 BFF Patron Share Posted February 23, 2023 I suspect that government employees treat BF experiences much like we do. If a coworker is brave enough to say something about an experience you might share your own experiences with them on case by case basis. You certainly do not approach a boss who has some control about your job progression and start babbling about your BF experiences. At some point the agency managers are desk bound and unlikely to experience anything themselves. I made the mistake of sharing experience with a neighbor who I thought was a friend only to be told that you have to be nuts to believe in BF. We did not speak for months and barely do now.

The same Lyle Laverty who is credited with taking the famous still photo of the Patterson female sasquatch footprint at the film site, and who also reportedly had his own sighting near Hyampom and a nest find on Scorpion Ridge above the PGF site, became Assistant Secretary of the Interior for Fish Wildlife and Parks. While there is no official or classified sasquatch policy that we are aware of, it is now proven that at least one man with intimate experience in sasquatchery has served at the highest levels of the U.S. government agency responsible for wildlife management. He has also been interviewed at least three times now regarding his experiences, and he remains somewhat guarded in his discussion. I submit that this guarded position is how he attained such a lofty position within the DOI with regard to his past experiences. Quote ........for certain "THE GOVERNMENT", meaning **all agencies** together, not just one, is hiding bigfoot from us, is patently ridiculous......... Yeah, I'm pretty confident that the U.S. Postal Service isn't likely hiding sasquatches from us even though some postal carriers might have reported sightings.........actually, I don't recall a single report from a mail carrier. SWWASAS Posted February 23, 2023 BFF Patron Share Posted February 23, 2023 I am wondering if there is another factor involved in areas with frequent BF sightings. Perhaps there are so many sightings that most people from these areas do not think a sighting is anything special. People have had one or knows someone that has and just assumes it is like a black bear or something not uncommon.
