Habituating Bigfoot

http://bigfootforums.com/index.php?/topic/32510-habituating-bigfoot/page__st__560

See post #568.

BFRO has 66 reports from Pierce co, WA.

http://www.bfro.net/GDB/show_report.asp?id=36467

"At any rate, suddenly I seen the Patterson Film in real life, about 400 ft down the road

ahead of me. The creature I saw fit the same color scheme of Harry and the Hendersons,

but in behavior it was nearly identical to the Patterson film.

"It strided across the road in 3-4 strides, and in as many was way off to the right again

when it stopped mid-stride and looked back at me exactly like the patterson film, but this

thing looked huge, even from the distance I saw it ..."

"In the early fall of 1986, I was travelling this route as I had many times before in

the company of my partner and friend, also an M.P., who is from Oregon. We had often

spoken and joked about various legends we had heard about Sasquatch inhabiting or

existing in the Pacific Northwest, and being from Ohio, I was a thorough non-believer ..."

http://www.bfro.net/GDB/show_report.asp?id=28197

"In 1977, I was an Army instructor at Ft Lewis, WA. We had to take lower ranking enlisted

men to the woods for part of the month long training, while in the NCO Academy. During

one of these exercises ..."

Great finds, ThePhaige. And interesting BFRO reports.

If we want to put ourselves into perspective this should do it. Check this out!

That is a stunning exemplification. makes my productive day seem somehow silly :)

I've always found the Fort Worth sightings interesting. I find it hard to believe that the army would not have tried to have find out more about these creatures which they encountered on their exercises. If you had several confirmed sightings by trusted army personel then surely interest in the potential of these animals for 'defence purposes' would be explored?

What would it cost to police a society where BF is acknowledged?

How would the press react to Bigfoot as a reality? How would they portray the new nieghbours?

How would the government react to this situation?

Very little imagination is needed to $ee why Bigfoot is not publicly acknowledged.

Posted

Very true. It would be costly and inconvenient. It might also possibly result in a lot of lawsuits, deaths and some degree of social disturbances.

Does anyone on the Forum have a copy or access to a copy of the 1975 Environmental Atlas for Washington so they can confirm a Sasquatch entry?

Here are a couple of articles discussing the subject (this top one)from my local Spokane paper.

sasquatchmap.jpg

Just another piece that is interesting (taken from) http://bigfooteviden...-engineers.html

This is a USAF Survival Map depicting sasquatch as indigenous fauna. According to the poster on Facebook, this map is "real".

This is what is noted on the map:

"Generally, the climate is a combination of alpine, subalpine and montane. Hot dry summers and moderately cold and snowy winters. Frequent chinooks moderate winter temperatures. Temperatures average in the 80/90's in mid-summer to lows in the 10-20's in winter. A strong elevational gradient in precipitation occurs, ranging from 15 to over 40 in per year. Elevations range from about 2000 ft. to over 7000 ft. The expansive conifer forests throughout this mountainous region contain hemlock, yew, larch, cedar, spruce, pines and fir. The area has beaver, badger, grouse, waterfowl, rabbits, moose, deer, marten, coyote, squirrels, chipmunk, bears, cougars, bobcat, porcupines, and many sasquatch sightings.

Buzzard,

In IMO, the reasons you mention for the US Gov't to hide the existence of BF are not strong enough. Main stream media today is very consistent on certain issues. Hmmm. I think it very probable that more Americans die each year from rodent dung borne viruses than from BF. Is anyone concerned about that?

That said, I am guessing the gov't is covering up the existence of BF. There is something missing from the equation.

There's nothing more tantalizing (and concerning) than a secret. Knowing that the government is holding out on us is kind of worrisome.

But even our government doesn't know everything. :) It may be either completely misunderstanding whatever information it's getting, or underestimating our ability to cope with that information.

Whatever the government thinks it's doing, it's still true that we are all connected, and that, as we achieve a higher level of consciousness, we'll see the need to work together (with BF, and with all living things) for the good of all.

LT, when you use the word "government" you have to keep in mind that there is a lot more to our so called US federal government than the vast majority of people know, much less understand.

Stanton Friedman stated it very well with regard to the many governments who have suppressed information about UFO's and Extra-Terrestrials; "No government wants its citizens to owe their allegiance to the planet instead of that individual government".

There are agencies within the federal government that definitely do not want the general population to know that BF actually exists. That's because it would be a huge paradigm shift and would likely result in people figuring out rather quickly that the government has known of their existence for years and covered it up.

That's their biggest fear! Because once that happens everyone realizes that the Great and Powerful Oz is really just a little guy behind a curtain pulling levers.

Why would it be a huge paradigm shift? I always hear that as the reason for a government coverup, but I never hear why it would matter to people.

Just search this forum with the words "hoax" or "hoaxer" and read the various comments and you will have your answer.

Anything that completely counters and therefore disrupts human beings pre-conceived notions of what they perceive to be reality is a huge paradigm shift that they have to try to digest mentally.

See: "the Great and Powerful Oz is really just a little guy behind a curtain pulling levers", above.

Most people are Sheep, who want to follow, not lead.

As soon as the followers stop becoming followers, it presents a major problem for the Shepherds, who have to maintain constant control all the time to maintain the illusion that the "Guvmint" is looking out for their best interests.

When in fact, it's the exact opposite.

Again, it's all about the "illusion" of power and control of the masses for their own good.

See: "allegiance", above.

Bigfoot and the FBI (RECOGNITION AT LAST)

http://www.bigfooten...rticles/fbi.htm

I see no date for this post from Bigfoot Encounters.

Worth reading as the last paragraphs has further information about the rumored FBI analysis of Bf hair.

.....

The 1975 Washington Environmental Atlas (AKA Provisional U.S. Army Corps of Engineers

Environmental Reconnaissance Inventory of the State of Washington): Bigfoot Central --

http://www.angelfire...tral/page2.html -- says it gives a full page to Bigfoot.

.....

Washington environmental atlas 2d ed.

prepared by Environmental Resources Section, Seattle District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, with assistance of the Institute for Environmental Studies, University of Washington.

Published 1975 by The Section ... for sale by the Supt. of Docs., U.S. Govt. Print. Off. in Seattle, WA.

Get Your Own Copy?? http://openlibrary.o...ronmental_atlas

OK. I didn't find your own copy of the book, used, printed, pdf, cd, whatever.

I've searched the GPO: US Gov't Printing Office. http://www.gpo.gov/libraries/

Its search engine has got me stumped; I no longer have the patience and ingeniuty for searches

for which I used to be famous.

Amazon has it listed, but not in stock.

P.S.- U.S. Army Corps of Engineers manual mentioning Sasquatch as local fauna in WA state.

Since it's mentioned here on BFF several times, my impression is that people on duty at Lewis McChord

have seen the entry recently, well after 1975.

I wonder: Was that page on Sasquatch published after 1975, or still being published?
