Power Lines As Travel Routes

Well for what it is worth, until one looks in my window and waves at me with a big toothy grin, I can't say that I definitely have one in my backyard. Even if it decided to be neighborly, without a piece of skin, hair, or Olan Mill's crystal clear photo, it's just a story. Even with all of that it might still be just a story. It's all opinion but I can't see anything tolerating being around high tension power lines for very long, much less sasquatch. I would think the EMF fields would mess up his zapping ability, invisibility force field, and super ninja eye sight.

Have wondered about the powerline thing myself. I don't live in BF territory, but I have noticed, with some surprise, how the powerline right of ways make these huge paths/highways cutting across the landscape, kinda unnoticed unless you are LOOKING for them, or paying attention, or have just the right perspective, and they run on and on and on and on. Would seem to me to make an ideal pathway through otherwise fairly well settled areas, especially if travelled mostly at night...

Good to see that you have indicated that your response...is opinion.

Yea BFF seem to like it when i do that, otherwise I keep the mods too busy. So I through that in to make you and Huff'en Puff smile. :)

Good of you to clarify that you don't believe because you haven't seen anything yet. That's the way it goes with most unfortunately. Then when you least expect it, one of the big guys scare the crap of you or a family member. Then you switch teams and you have to deal with the ones that can't wait to punch that red penalty box triangle light on you. I am use to being in the penalty box, it's like a second home to me. ;)

Good of you to clarify that you don't believe because you haven't seen anything yet. I feel, for myself, I can only believe BF exists if I see one or the evidence is conclusive. But, on the other hand, just because I haven't seen one, doesn't mean they don't exist. That's the way it goes with most unfortunately. I played team hockey from 6 to 15 when I was a kid...defence...fortunately not too much time in the penalty box. :)

Yea I was never a candidate to win the Lady Bing types of awards. I did get lots of Gordie Howe hat tricks though. ;)

I know your experienced Lesmore just maybe not lucky @ finding evidence as others are. It's all about timing and location. So here's a tip if you don't mind from someone who's seen evidence and the big smellies. Consider the factors why shoppers all end up at the checkouts at the same time.

pm me if you want to talk about it since it's off topic. tracker over and out. dry.gif

  • 3 years later...

Somebody posted a question about electrical power lines and Bigfoot travel on a 2014 thread and I liked this post so much I had comment on it. This poster was spot on and correct in my view.

Gumshoe you are a wizard at digging up old posts, I'll give you that..;)

This is an interesting topic and one that definitely has a little merit IMO.

As a hunter I know that lots of animals travel along power line routes

Travelling along a straight clear route saves calories

Saving calories helps you stay alive

I think most animals tend to travel where the travelling is easier. A power line right of way way would be perfect for them as it gives and easier route and one that offers excellent field of view. Both of these considerations would be an advantage to any and all wild life. Of course there would be times when it would be more advantageous to go into the treed areas and hide, but for travelling from A to B, it would be faster, easier and safer to use the power line right of way IMHO

Sometimes old is new we just have to want look …. LOL!

You my friend are wiser than you let on too. We just have to learn how to pick your brain a little bit more so we can all learn.  There are lot’s anecdotal reports that I read placing Bigfoot in or around in very close proximity with power lines and it needs to be studied more.

There are tonnes.

I know for sure that there is active, ongoing research in an area in the PNW where a property was purchased due to a few road crossing sightings in virtually the same place ( all within a mile ) that led on to that property which backed on to a ridge and into a different valley.

The point of crossing, the research group felt, was important because it was there that the ridge had the easiest way of accessing it, via a power line cut out.

There are camera in place that have caught lot a of wildlife including bears and cougars and also some ?? pictures too of things that aren't immediately identifiable.

The only issue I have with this way of thinking is that even though to us and other animals it would seem logical to use that route and we'd therefore think that Sasquatches would use it as a route of travel too, I'm not so sure an animal with their intelligence and that seemingly has nothing to do with anything that is "unnatural" in its surroundings, would think the same, especially when it's completely wrapped up with game cams all of the way up and down it like it has.

I may be wrong, but there's a reason that these things A ) Don't get caught on game cams and B ) Haven't been discovered and the latter would be due to them not being "logical" ( a regular human perception of being logical anyway ) in their movements.

In general I mean anyway. Of course there are lots of reports of them close to power lines and ultimately they are an easier route of travel. But who is to say why they are there. They may be hunting other animal species as they know they use it to travel.
