Hell, I can't even burn my own trash like we did when I was a kid without it becoming a federal case. I am given to understand that we are a more 'enlightened' society than we were 40-50 years ago. No way is it going to fly that the presumed 'closest relative to man' can be hunted into the ground like rabid dogs. Imagine the protest rallies that would inspire. I appreciate your point about mountain lions, but then again, a big cat isn't an intellectual apeman with speech is it?
