Anyone Know Of Any Celebrity Bigfoot Encounters?

I was very surprised to hear that Survivorman himself, Les Stroud has had an encounter with the big guy. In the clip below he actually says he has had two encounters, but he only describes one, which is pretty chilling if you put yourself in his position. I have not been able to find any description of the second one, but I think he recorded it in his journal if I'm not mistaken. Here he is describing his encounter:

Anyone have any insight as to what his second encounter was?

-or-

Anyone know of any other celebrities who have been bold enough to step forward with an encounter?

Never heard of, or heard that Les Stroud interview before. Stroud is quite an adventurer. That is a very interesting interview.

Are you saying you've never heard of Les Stroud before? Not sure if that's what you meant, but if it is then check out his show "Survivorman"... I believe it's available for instant viewing on Netflix if I'm not mistaken.

Interesting Les mentions the hair sticking up on the back of his neck.

So he heard something that HE never heard before and therefore he thinks it must be a sasquatch? That is ridiculous!

First - he has no reason to think he has heard every sound that every animal has or can make. Period.

Second - to go from "unknown to him" and then jump to a conclusion that it is an unclassified hairy bi-pedal North American primate is beyond the pale.

He heard a sound he can't identify - that's all. Move along. Nothing to see here folks.

The man lives off the land. He's familiar with the wildlife in any number of regions, especially that region since he's from Canada. If he says its an animal he's never heard before, that's saying something.

Did you even listen to the interview? Sounds remarkably similar to any number of class B encounters I've heard.

Also the title of this thread is Celebrity Bigfoot Encounters. He's a celebrity who describes what he believes to be a Bigfoot encounter. How is there nothing to see here?

He said he heard a sound he can only describe as an ape. He didn't even say he believed in Bigfoot.

B) Older rock star Ted Nugent supposedly found the body of a BF while out bow hunting some years ago. From what I recall he was said to have left it where he found it, half submerged in a creek. This was discussed briefly about 5 years ago on the old BFF. I don't know if anyone ever confirmed the story with 'The Nuge'.

I had not heard the story about Nugent. Seems to me if he had, he would have whacked off a piece and brought it back. Did a google search that did not return anything of value.

But I did find this:

Not to sure about the "living off the land" how about scavenging till the airplane picks them up. Leave them out there for month or so and let's see how well they lived off the land! BTW when did being from Canada automatically bestow expert wildness skills upon someone?

LOL!!!

It doesn't! But since Mr. Stroud was speaking to an incident in Canada on one of his shows he certainly would be relatively familiar with the local fauna. :) :) :)

Plus the man has filmed plenty of shows in the US as well.

On another note...Jonathan Hillstrand from the TimeBandit reported seeing a BF up in Gray's Harbor on the shoreline sometime last year. An area with a history of sightings.

Yes, it's saying he's never heard that sound before. Doesn't mean it was bigfoot, even if it did sound apelike.

Why do bulls pant or huff, when do they use huffing grunts, (ape like in sound) glunk, what's the sound when a bull is calling a cow to him or what's the sound when he's calling his separated cows back. Why do bulls chuckle? Why do they grunt? These are not one in the same. Do you know the difference?

My bolding, but the info is from this website, and the author is talking about elk.

Yes, it lacked any details other than something he didn't recognize and couldn't identify being heard. No footprints mentioned, no glimpse of an 8-foot man-ape, no tossed pine cones, no obnoxious smell, nothing other than some sounds. It's just another unconvincing anecdote that some proponents are willing to attribute to bigfoot as the cause.

He's a fellow Canuck, also believe he's an educator...an excellent programmer.

Hmm actually not to bad, we got to Les Stroud and looking into Nuggent before the subject got hijacked and derailed by the skeptics... Yup the forum is going in the right direction alright... This forum is on a very slippery slope when we cant have a simple straight forward discussion on the main topic of Bigfoot...

Again I ask for a skeptic free zone where the proposed discussion of Bigfoot can be had unabated, and let the skeptics have a skeptics corner... Both Moderated by like minded mods.... just saying...
