Guest BootsnSaddles
Everything Moneymaker comes across is claimed to be evidence. A common error in BFRO Sasquatch field studies is seeing what you want to see, and changing the possibilities to support what you want to believe, which seems to be what MM does all the time. The dead deer, the powerline road, and even the Skookum Cast which all evidence points to an Elk. I talked to MM on the phone one day about an upcoming expedition, and he was telling me I will never find anything on one of my private field studies- but if I were to sign up on his BFRO expedition, he was certain we would encounter something. Red flags went up right away. If they were that easy to find one would have been laying on a cold slab long ago. First Rule in Bigfoot Research should be - Eliminate ALL natural explanantions before claiming it is Bigfoot. Out of the Finding Bigfoot cast, Renee does this very well. Guest
That is one of the best statements I have seen posted on any BF forum ever, bar none. These are the Guidelines we use at Arizona Field Research Team Scientific Methodology Applied To Bigfoot Research There are fundamental steps science uses to solve problems, called The Scientific Method. These steps have been used for centuries to solve problems and develop theories. The Scientific Method, which is found in most entry level science textbooks, is the proven technique science uses to develop new ideas and prove discoveries. Most of the world's current technological success is due to this process, and there is no reason it can't be applied to Bigfoot research as well. Therefore by following these proven steps will help to find the solution to the Bigfoot mystery. Below are the basic steps of The Scientific Method, and how they could relate to our form of research. 1)DEFINE THE PROBLEM: FINDING THE SOLUTION TO THE BIGFOOT PHENOMENON. 2)DEFINE THE GOALS AND PLANS USED TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM WHICH IS AN ON-GOING PROCESS. 3)SEARCH, EXPLORE, AND GATHER EVIDENCE, OBTAIN REPORTS, AND DOCUMENT THE RESULTS. 4)USE LOGICAL ALTERNATIVE SOLUTIONS; MAKE ENOUGH FOLLOW-UP OBSERVATIONS TO RULE OUT ALL OTHER POSSIBILITIES, SUCH AS COMMON ANIMALS, MISIDETIFICATIONS, AND HOAXES. 5)EVALUATE THE EVIDENCE, IN ORDER TO BE ABLE TO SCIENTIFICALLY ANALYZE AND TO BE ABLE TO SUBSTANTIATE THE INFORMATION FOR DEFINITIVE CONCLUSIONS. 6)WHEN ENOUGH INFORMATION AND EVIDENCE IS FOUND, CERTAIN HYPOTHESES ARE DEVELOPED A STATEMENT MAY BE THAT AN ACTUAL BIGFOOT EXISTS OR THAT A REASON HAS BEEN FOUND TO EXPLAIN THE PHENOMENON. 7)INVITE CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM, IF THE HYPOTHESES CANNOT WITHSTAND SCRUTINY, THEN THE ECIDENCE MAY BE FLAWED, AND THE NEED TO REVERT TO REEVALUATE, GATHER MORE EVIDENCE, AND DEVELOP NEW HYPOTHESES, OR THEORY. 8)REACH A CONCLUSION OR THEORY, FIND THE SOLUTION BASED ON ALL VIABLE EVIDENCE THAT HAS BEEN THOROUGHLY TESTED, CHALLENGED, AND SCRUTINIZED. 9)KEEP AN OPEN MIND TO SEEK OTHER SOLUTIONS THAT MAY HAVE LED TO OTHER CONCLUSIONS. 10)AFTER ALL CONCLUSIONS HAVE BEEN PROPERLY TESTED AND CHALLENGED, THEN RELEASE THE INFORMATION, THROUGH REPORTS, BOOKS, AND PRESS RELEASES ETC. Guest spoiler
I hope everyone watched the Animal Plant "Finding Bigfoot" marathoin last night, I never miss an episode and I think all in all they do a pretty good job trying to prove or disprove the sightings. Even though I think Matt Moneymaker is very quick to decide that everything they see's and hear's is a Squatch. They have had some amazing things shown on the program. Anyways, last night I saw an Episode that I had not seen before, It was the Silverstar Peak episode from Southwestern Washington, The Hiker shot a series of 3 photos of a figure standing on a totally white peak, The figure was facing him at first "crouched down" and then standing up, and then a 3/4 turn as it walked away. These photos to me were amazing. It was obviously a Biped, in the snow, dark figure, no obviouse clothing, Its the real thing right? Hmmmmmmmmm. Let me tell you what saw on there last night. The Hiker said he visits this peak a lot and likes to hike and be with nature. Im a hiker I understand that. he said that he NEVER EVEN REALIZED that he had taken the photos until 3 weeks later a family member saw the photos and said "Hey that looks like a Bigfoot. "remember that" it will come into play later...... when the BFRO team took the helicopter to the top of the paek and re-enacted the series of photos I think they nailed it. They had Bobo stand in the exact place where the creature had stood and took photos to match what the hiker had taken. As the Hiker was explaining to the BFRO crew what had taken place he started to say that when he got to the top of the peak on that day he started to get an uneasy feeling, At that moment I looked at my wife "who was watching the program with me" and I said DON"T SAY IT!!!!!! DONT SAY IT!!!! then he said it... I FELT LIKE I WAS BEING WATCHED. All credability of this guy just flew out the window. First off, It is impossible to FEEL someone watching you. Maybe it's just me but when I hear someone say that they felt like they were being watched, I automatically say to myself, FAKE.....Second, He said that when he saw the creature he took one photo and then hurried and took off his backpack and proceded to take 2 more. He actually said "when I saw the creature" WTH? Didn't he already say that he never even realized he took the photos? So this guy hikes to the top of a peak, SEES A CREATURE, takes 3 photos of it and then forgets about it until 3 weeks later when a family member sees the photo and says it looks like a Bigfoot? Something isnt right! His story changed from one part of the episode where he was just taking photos and happen to catch a Bigfoot on cam, To, I felt like I was being watched? Sorry I dont see it. as for the photos, They are awesome!!! I just wish he wouldnt have said that he felt like someone was watching him. I have had an encounter with BF, I didnt feel like anything except scared. I certainly didnt feel him watching me.
Guest
I completely disagree that you can't feel someone watching you. You most certainly can. However, I think this show is doing even more harm to the legitimate researchers out there. They talk as if they know for a 100% fact how a bigfoot thinks reacts and its habits. Its truly laughable at times.
Guest wudewasa
HOURS of watching and listening to Matt Moneymaker say "it's a squatch" is not the way that I prefer spending my time.
