VA, thanks for posting this. It's strange; On one hand I keep thinking this isn't the same report. It has a lot more details than I remember. I could only recall the one hunter, and I don't recall him saying he had sighted two creatures.   However, on the other hand, the whole part about finding one log blocking the path, then the next day finding two more logs blocking the path, plus how the logs were too heavy for 3 men to pick up, showing no evidence of having dragged to the spot, seems to exactly match what I can recall from what I had read.   It seems too much of a coincidence two different elk hunters would have had the exact same experience that unfolded in the same sequence of; using an ATV, then one day finding one big log blocking the way, then finding two more big logs the next day.    On a sidenote: There is another report I remember reading but can't find again. Interestingly, it was also from an elk hunter, who claimed he was watching at least two Bigfoot across an open area late in the afternoon.  He said he saw two Bigfoot tearing bark off a tree. Here is where my remembering comes into play. I recall him saying after the creatures had left, he went over to the tree they had been working on. The closest section on the tree where the bark had been ripped off was 11 feet up. I don't recall if he said how he determined this, but I'm guessing maybe he stood under the same tree and reached up with his arm and estimated how much higher the section was.   He also said there were pieces of bark and wood laying all around the ground below the tree. I can't recall for sure if there were only the two adults, or if there were two smaller creatures with them. I'm not certain if the tallest creature was the only one tearing off the bark, or if both adults were involved. I don't recall what state this happened in.   One comment I have is I've always tended to think elk hunters were some of the best potential witnesses for a Bigfoot sighting. They are away from civilization, sometimes in a bit more remote areas where vehicles can't go. So many of them are out there in Bigfoot habitat.

I think this is the report of which you remembered:   https://www.bfro.net/GDB/show_report.asp?id=50124

The following 'coincidence' always fascinated me.  In a nutshell, 'On June 24, 1947, pilot Kenneth Arnold saw what he described as a string of nine shiny unidentified flying objects flying past Mount Rainier at speeds that he estimated to be at least 1,200 miles per hour.'  '<This> sighting garnered nationwide news coverage and is credited with being the first of the modern era of UFO sightings, including numerous reported sightings over the next two to three weeks.'  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kenneth_Arnold_UFO_sighting   Mr. Arnold landed his plane at Yakima, Washington.  And, as you probably know, Yakima is 'a core hub of Bigfoot history and the hometown of Bob Gimlin and the late Roger Patterson.'  Yakima has a 'unique status as a "ground zero" for Bigfoot enthusiasts and Native American Sasquatch legends.'  None of that was directly caused by Mr. Arnold's UFO sighting, but 'Science' might want to at least wonder if there could be a connection. https://www.google.com/search?q=yakima%2Cwa+bigfoot&oq=yakima%2Cwa+bigfoot&gs_lcrp=EgZjaHJvbWUyBggAEEUYOTIICAEQABgWGB4yCAgCEAAYFhgeMggIAxAAGBYYHjIICAQQABgWGB4yCggFEAAYgAQYogQyCggGEAAYgAQYogTSAQkyODQ3OGowajeoAgCwAgA&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8   Mike Gold is spot-on when he indicates that the often extreme and even sometimes confrontational push back to extraordinary reports and to the paranormal is the antithesis of what our Scientists and our Governments should be doing.

Just look at our closest extinct cousin. Shorter. Way more robust.   Now imagine something still bipedal but even larger and more robust. Would love to know more about Denisovans. They are truly a species that is in the right place at the right time to cross the land bridge before Homo Sapiens. Or it’s not closely related to us at all. It’s coming out of left field.   Anyhow I thought Darden could put some perspective into supposed Sasquatch strength.
