Need Help In Central Texas.........

Ditto what Bigtex said about groups and progressions equal to "3". Big ju-ju, and the theories are many as to why this would be.

Groups of three are also recognized as international distress signals (three shots, three parallel lines drawn on the ground, group of three rock cairns, etc)

Lakota history is replete with references to the number, and it  all its connotations. Pipe smoking and other ceremonial acts are intricately tied to repetition's of three, and the White Buffalo Woman legends.

On a more mundane level, it is an immutable rule of joke telling. The gag builds each time the motif is related, resulting in the punch line on the third time.

What's my theory? Well, maybe it is as simple as once is not enough. Twice could be just a coincidence, and four times is too many.

Also found these yesterday deep in the woods, and just goes to show you there are still surprises in a given area, even though thoroughly explored for years. These 4 plates were together, and guessing they were both on trucks stolen many years ago.....no sign of the trucks, parts, or anything else, and had obviously been laying there a very long time.

Here's a Deer kill that I ran across, and the leg break looked like it suffered blunt-force trauma to cause the break........also, a dead Buzzard and a leaf print nearby.

Hadn't been down this trail in a month or so, and all kinds of tree limbs pulled down and blocking the trail......could be chance of course, but looked deliberate.

  • 2 weeks later...

The weather has cooled off, high 80's, and very nice. I went for a long hike yesterday, and over to one of my 'Stake-out' camps, nice place to just relax, and let the pups run around. It's a natural small opening, with a little nook for me to stay hidden in, red arrow. This is NOT a hunting blind, just a hidden spot to chill at night, and listen for the night time travelers. There is an alleged BF Trail nearby, and found a Juvie track-way yesterday, not real good quality because it's so dry, best one below, and it had not been there the day before.

Also, I stayed too late yesterday, and it started getting dark on me........as the dogs & I approached the truck, maybe a mile and a half out in the woods, the 2 dogs got very skittish, stayed close to me, and the Wolf was on high alert staring down in a particular area in her stealth mode. Didn't hear anything, but got a blast of musky-dead stink, with a sweet after scent to it, unmistakable BF smell......to me, no matter the varying lawyers of initial bad stink, there is always that sour/sweet after smell quality.......hard to describe. Anyway, we were escorted to the truck, with a nice lil scream as I drove off:)

Yum those old deer legs are such good eating if you are a wolf!

LOL......yes they are yummy, to the wolfy, but gives her bad breath. I have always gotten bovine femurs from the butcher, and my Ridgeback will chew on those for weeks out back. Not any more.......wolfy can crunch hers into small bit sized pieces, and have the whole thing consumed in about an hour & a half, then she goes and takes Duncan's, and down it goes too.......amazing, and insanely powerful jaws.

Hey BIgtext.      I clicked on the your first photo in post 1385 to take a look at what the red mark was showing.    Have you blown up the picture?      Left of and higher than your red mark in the picture it sure looks like a man in brown clothing  or something shaped like a man in brown clothing is standing there looking at you.  It is like your red mark is pointing to it.     Check it out.    I wonder if you got a picture of a BF?    It is quite a distance out but from the picture it looks like whatever it is has its feet on the ground.     I am seeing something that looks like a sagittal crest on the head.     Either that or a man has a really tall pointy hat.    Looking at the trees in the foreground, Wolfy seems to be staring right at that direction in picture 2.

Interesting......can you post the picture, and put an closer arrow on it? It's quite probable that BF's have been there......I've left stuff for them, keep it trimmed, and hang there all the time, day & night. I was snapping those pics one after the other, and wolfy was sure interested in something over there, and shown in that 2nd photo.

I cannot seem to download your picture for some reason so I cannot blow it up any more than what happens when I click on it.     If you extend the red mark you made up and to the left  just a bit more than double it's length,   the figure I see is framed between two branches of that tree or bush right in the treeline.    Your red line pretty much points right at it.    I could be imagining things but figured if you blew it up you could see better than I can.     The second picture does not show it because it looks like you moved a bit between when you took the first picture and the second.   I have a large screen high res graphics display so I may be seeing something you cannot see as well.

Ok finally blew it up.   It heavily pixelates with much blow up.     The figure I see is in the pink circle.    It seems to have feet on the ground.     Probably several hundred yards away.

It does look like an upright figure. But, IMO, I think it's leaves in front of a tree trunk making it look like a silhouette. As you said though, the more you zoom in the more pixalated it becomes.

LMAO '80'.......trying not to rub it in, but would love some cold freezing weather with snow! My kids still haven't seen the white stuff, and last time it snowed and stuck was back in 1984.

Crazy weather coming.....Patricia is bearing down on us, supposed to drop 8-10" of beautiful-wonderful rain, yippee!!
