Like bats, perhaps they hide/sleep in (dark) caves during the day, then come out at night. It would also support the idea that they can see in the dark, if they both hunt at night and sleep in caves. I agree!!!! I have found just one logical explanation (according to sightings reports), they probably wake up, go outside their caves and dens and covering large distances at night (long strides) using hidden trails.
