Guest VioletX
Very cool, I see alot of those bottom type weaves with smaller layouts that are perfect equilaterals, many A-shaped repetitions sometimes like spokes on a wheel or points on a compass. Very intriguing when you see the repetitions. But wait I have more ,lol! Thanks Bipedalist, feel free to share some of those, I have seen many like that too. The one I shared seemed to pop up overe night on the edge of the woods. @SNY, I just don't know maybe the bigger structures could be a look out point????? Still missing 2 of the really cool ones...but this is rather a lot...well, this thread is called stick structures, non?
Guest roblester
Folks, this is caused by wind, rain, water and maybe even a hunter. Heavy snow falls, summer thunder storms and an ocassional hurrican can do weird things. You are only seeing what you want to see. If there was a fire ring around these sites you'd be telling me that you saw a BF rubbing two stciks togther, lol... I was going to post this, but worried I would be hung. A while back, I had taken pictures in my area of these exact things, and posted them on a site. 95% of the replies were the same as here. I could have done the same here, but thought better of it. If people question this, I would be more then happy to go out tomorrow and take pictures of all the newer ones laying around. We had a good winter here on the Oregon Coast, and I know they will be all around. Trust me, it is what I quoted. I used to believe other wise, and when I used to read bout this, I wondered the same thing. Even though I hunted most of my adult life, and saw this all the time. I never paid attention. Once a seed is put into your head, these things stick out. ( pun not intended ).
Guest VioletX
Aw no don't rain on our stick parade! I do think some are made by weather, but can we prove that any more than we can prove that some are not built by a Sasquatch? They are in the woods, with time on their hands, I vote them guilty until proven innocent, lol.

No worries, when you get to documenting stick addition in strategically weaved ways overnight then your mind can rest easy again. Then let it rain, let it rain let it rain!
