Guest
Bonehead, I just read my confused sounding sighting report. The creature I saw was hunched down digging in a stump (I guess for grubs and bugs) and I thought it was a bear until it stood up, turned away from from us and reached out towards a nearby tree and then I thought it was an orangutan due to it's long arms, then it turned towards us and I realized that it was a BF. This creature walked out into the road and watched us drive away. How brazen is that for him (no breasts were visible so I call it a male) to stand in the road watching us? My heart rate and anxiety level just went up writing about this encounter. As God is my witness, my hubby refused to turn around, and trust me, my hubby(a brilliant physician, the chief pathologist at a large regional medical center) refused to go back, thankfully! I am telling the *absolute* truth. Also, it was someone here who told me that the creature I saw, since it had a *snout*, was a Dogman. I had never even heard of a Dogman type of BF before then. After doing some research, I am very thankful hubby did not turn around. The creature had to weigh 800+ pounds, and was at least 8+ feet tall. He was HUGE!!!! Guest
Bonehead, Truly, I wish that I had *never* seen it. My kids hike and camp and have no clue about the dangers in our forest and woodlands. A creature of that size could take down anything that he wanted to take down. Humans would be *easy* prey* for him. No human would stand a chance against something of that size and strength without **major** firepower, plus a tactical fully armed group of Navy Seals. I *hate* being afraid, I *hate* knowing these things exist. I wish that I had never seen it. I would have been okay with a regular sasquatch, but this thing is totally outside anything that I can comprehend even existing. Guest
Bonehead, I have asked SweetSusiQ this many times and she never answers. Why did she originally say it ducked behind a stump, then say it went to climb a tree, then say it ran into the road?
clubbedfoot
Chyie-tanka - no worries! Chiye-tanka, It's weird that you both have the same handle. joking.... all kidding aside...I am glad this thread has been a springboard to some very insightful and eye opening posts... Guest
Bonehead, I have asked SweetSusiQ this many times and she never answers. Why did she originally say it ducked behind a stump, then say it went to climb a tree, then say it ran into the road? BH, I am doing a podcast on Dogman encounters about Ketchum's DNA study, plus my encounter this weekend. Hopefully any questions anyone has will be answered because we will discuss everything, including how in the world we ended up there. Now, The *first* thing I saw was a clearing with a huge stump in it, and what looked like a large black bear behind it busy digging in the stump I assume for bugs and grubs as those animals often do. Well, The "bear" stood up on 2 legs, but he was turned away from us, took a step or two, and then stretched out his extremely long arms towards a nearby tree and I thought "My God, what is an orangutan doing loose in the forest" because of how long his arms were. Then the creature stopped, dropped his arms to his side, and turned around facing us and the road, and we sorta' looked at each other, he was looking at the car, and I was looking at him. He froze for a second, and then started walking towards the road and our car. I was carefully observing him so I could report what I saw considering I believed him to be a Sasquatch. Then I noticed he had a snout, a sorta' flat-looking snout, and I wondered if that was what Patty's mouth really looked like, but I was watching him (no breasts being visible so I believed it to be a male) continue to approach the road as I was twisting in my seat to watch him as we slowly pulled away. My last sight was of him standing fully in the road watching us drive away. I was speechless until I lost sight of him, then I stupidly asked hubby to go back and let me look for evidence. Well, hubby was mad that we were running so late, and on a terrible dirt road that was destroying our shocks, and he said "no way, I'm not turning back for anything". The End of The Event ****This is what I saw, this is what happened, and I am **done ***arguing*** with you about it. As *God* is my witness this occurred and I am NOT lying.****This happened to me, I saw this thing, and personally, I was a lot happier **BEFORE** I saw this creature, now I want you to leave me alone. I am NOT DISCUSSING this with you again. I"M DONE!!! ****Please go harass some other poor innocent victim whose only crime was seeing a monster and reporting it here where I though that I would have support, not be harassed so much I am ready to once again leave the forum. Thanks, I appreciate you making this forum miserable for me to visit.****** .. Edited September 19, 2014 by SweetSusiq

Hammer102492
Lightheart - yeah, I went Bigfoot hunting that night. Kind of like mushroom hunting in the spring. It was different than me just hanging around our place having fun. I asked for it, and I got it. I don't regret it because my #1 goal was to see if stuff was happening somewhere else similarly to our place. Actually, there is not a lot different that we did that night that I wouldn't do at our place. Just find a great place to plop down in nature and relax. The difference was, I wasn't at home. It came back strong in that regard. Yeah, maybe some are one way and others are another way, but I'm sure they were like who the heck is coming here and plopping down right in the middle of our space? No worries, it's just Robert and Suzanne. Oh good, they seem nice, don't kill them. I wasn't sure at one point which is why I called for reinforcements. I started a whole thread after I got back from that experience about why anyone would want to go looking for BF! The only way that I'll ever do that again is if my husband is with me. Actually, I've been thinking about my 50th birthday party at the end of April next year and I think that we'll be camping on Bigfoot Ridge. Scardy cats can and elders can stay in the lodge. We might be able to catch a warm day down there at the end of the month. Now don't you all go now and book those sites. Laughing.
Hammer102492
Hammer my gut feeling is that they saw you put the recorder out. Whether they understand what the recorder is is or not I think they are always suspicious of anything new or any change to your routine. Habitation situations frequently report that the BF will not come around when anyone else visits the property. They are so attune to what is normal for you that anything different makes them very wary. I agree. That's how I felt for days. It's like, I blew it. So day three, I just talked to "them" under my breath when I was setting it out and I was like, "Hey, I just want to record night sounds, if you want to be a part of it, have at it." Day three of recording, (a few days later), I got a half our of some strange stuff. It was active that night, Sunday. Did I post the clips here? Being lazy because it's late. Here's a clip from Wednesday. The recorder was 200+ feet from me down in the back field. Crickets for hours, then no crickets, and I heard a foraging sound for well over an hour. Then, as I figured out from about 20 seconds after this clip, I put on an awesome Grateful Dead show from 7-14-90. That is about the same time the creature moved past my mic. I changed the dynamics of the valley sound, and whatever it was, moved, right past the mic again. Try again... 9-17-14 Forager moves past mic SHORTER.wav
Hammer102492
Yeah, and Clubbedfoot, when I said Chaiye, duh. My bad. Being lazy. I guess I'm one of those names now. Have no idea where that name comes from. I'll have to look it up. Thanks for pointing out my oversight. It's all good. Need you guys to keep me on my toes. So did I play this one for you, (speaking of being lazy to go back and figure it out). But for new people reading this. This was recorded Sunday night. The above clip was Wednesday night. (Got to have rest inbetween!) You will hear the gas well vent, beware. Or this one with the big tree crash and the owl howl from Sunday night. 9-14-14 BIG foot falls near mic.wav 9-14-14 Big break and owl howl SHORTER.wav Edited September 20, 2014 by Hammer102492

Hammer102492
Cool. It's all good. Being lazy again. Did I post this one that I found last night reviewing Wednesday night. More foot falls, moving faster. Mic was placed at back campsite, 200+ feet away this time. Just as I put on some music, (Grateful Dead), the creature started moving through the ankle / shin high grass from the mowed path. What is that making the sound. I hear heavy SSQ foot falls. I'm sorry. I know what it takes to move through that tall grass. Sounded bipedal to me. But, I may have BF fever, but I that's what I think it was. I think it reacted to me making a change in the sounds of the night. 9-17-14 Forager moves past mic SHORTER.wav
David NC
Hammer. The forager smelled your recorder and came right up to it. you might want to try some kind of scent killer on your equipment. Keep your recorder in a plastic bag until you are ready to deploy it and handle it very little with some kind of scent killer on your hands.
