Rockape Posted March 15, 2016 Posted March 15, 2016 I stand corrected. Hobbit is a very viable candidate to be perhaps still going. I'm not sure why I considered it having some from a what is now a cold climate. Perhaps it had something to do with mini Mamouths that were island bound which appeared not long ago.. mini Mamouths? mammoths Oh pshaw. No way such a brilliant, critical thinking mind would misspell one that easy.
Guest Crowlogic Posted March 15, 2016 Posted March 15, 2016 ^ Oh a misspelling is the best you got? OK so that makes bigfoot real. Case closed.

Let me get this straight, because your paragraph above is a little scrambled. You thought Flores was a cold climate based on the fact that Stegadon lived there also, but has also went "extinct" not long ago? I also agree that if I was a professional cryptid hunter with unlimited resources, I would start looking in this area of the world first. The fossil record thus far points to here first.
Guest Crowlogic Posted March 15, 2016 Posted March 15, 2016 ^The Ice Age images of Wolly Mammoths is the image I generally get from Mammoth. It's the usual image for most people. I was drawing connection to the article on Aleutian Islands Mammoths that lingered on longer than on the mainland. In any event the Hobbit climate and location is intriguing.
norseman Posted March 15, 2016 Admin Author Posted March 15, 2016 Understood Crow, and I agree that the jungles of SE Asia are intriguing. And the area has had other large new mammals discovered as well.
Rockape Posted March 15, 2016 Posted March 15, 2016 OK so that makes bigfoot real. Case closed. See ya'll, wasn't that easy? 1
Guest spurfoot Posted April 2, 2016 Posted April 2, 2016 A DNA analysis is best. Any hair found in Australia could be forwarded to Sykes for such an analysis. I believe that BF is a variety of human with disordered chromosomes. Because of the disorder that means that only a reconstructed total genome will prove the issue. Extracting individual genes won't be nearly as informative as a total genome reconstruction.
yowiie Posted April 2, 2016 Posted April 2, 2016 Spur I have offered my samples to Sykes numerious times, but he doesn't reply. Its a shame as i know where the hairs came from
SWWASAS Posted April 2, 2016 BFF Patron Posted April 2, 2016 You try DIsotell? He might be more likely to accept the Yowie than BF if you explain in detail how you collected them.
ShadowBorn Posted April 2, 2016 Moderator Posted April 2, 2016 Spur I have offered my samples to Sykes numerious times, but he doesn't reply. Its a shame as i know where the hairs came from Yowie If you can collect more samples and have the money then send the sample to different labs that you can find and do not tell them a thing . Ask them to identify the samples for you and that you want it confidential so that only your self and the lab will know and see if all three samples match up. Then collect more samples and send them to Dr.Disotell and see if they match to what you have. Then send copies of what you have to Dr. Sykes and tell him to kiss your A** after you have all sample collected and tested and it shows an unknown/human. But this is my opinion.
yowiie Posted April 2, 2016 Posted April 2, 2016 Shadow That is a good suggestion, probably my best avenue to go down. It has me stumped as to why Sykes never got back to me, never mind its no big deal to me.
norseman Posted April 2, 2016 Admin Author Posted April 2, 2016 Todd Disotell said to do this. https://www.easy-dna.com/animal-dna-tests/
norseman Posted April 2, 2016 Admin Author Posted April 2, 2016 I would email him and get some advice first. Like which test he would buy.
