"We think they're related to primates"? Not "are" primates? I almost turned it off on the methane. I'll probably dutifully watch the rest of the series but I wasn't overly impressed.

To be fair to BFRO, perhaps the true answer is gator lairs, but, if so, the odor sure isn't coming from methane, but from one or, more likely, a suite of malodorous gasses that are probably sulfur-bearing.

Good point such as hydrogen sulfide, but certainly I wouldn't hold it against anyone confusing smells/gases, obviously something produces the stink and it is probably sulfur.....perhaps a good science consultant besides a field biologist could assist them ;)

just saw the 2nd one on the skunk ape, could anyone make out what happened at the end when they were filming something and it supposedly ran off? I guessed they missed that part on the camera?

MM says on his site that they ID'd it as a horse on location but AP edited as seen on the show. So what's else was creatively edited? Don't get me wrong I'm well aware that all of these shows do this!

That methane is a colorless, odorless gas is Chem for Jocks 101-level knowledge.

I can give a break down

Spoiler alert

1. Bobo falls right when an upright humanoid creature is coming into view on his Thermal imager, I think it was a person, I could make out the delineation between the shirt and the pants.

2. on the second thermal image, as MM approaches the creature, they cut away from the T.I., and then say something like "it's gone!" it just disappears. But I wonder if they cut out the part where it shows a deer or something walking away.

3. Methane is the cause of Skunk Ape's pungent odor (Methane is an odorless gas)

4. Skunk ape is a different sub-species, it is smaller and oranger than Bigfoot.

5. Skunk apes live in Alligator holes.

I got to throw this out there about something Matt claimed on the show. He mention something about he was the first to discover Bf's respond to calls and wood knocking?

He started BFRO in 95 But we knew Bf's would respond to imitations in the early 70's. like when Sierra Sounds was recorded over 3-4 years and was released on tape in 74 by Ron Morehead. So he's claiming he knew and was doing this when he was a youngster, before then?, really smile.gif

I got that beat Matt

When i was a toddler I mention to Roger that he had a good chance of filming a Bigfoot on October 20, 1967 @ Bluff Creek CA. All he had to do was head towards the creek after everyone else left. Good thing he listen eh? wink.gif

I agree as well, myself and wife where saying just what you posted. If they keep doing it this way, I do not think the show will last because folks will tune out due to projection of findings. IMO

I mean, who came up with the METHANE gas thing? I hope it wasn't Moneymaker or the BFRO, and was the production people.

Because what it sounds like, is a bunch people playing Dungeons and Dragons, and making stuff up to sound cool.

Like, 'a Red Dragon's fire comes from a fuel produced by the by-product of it's metabolism, the fuel is ejected through the lungs, and is ignited as it passes through it's teeth, the spark is created by his teeth clashing together and creating a spark.'

Yeah, that is totally what I heard too.

That episode explained why someone's bare footprint might be out in the middle of nowhere however.

You guys keep bashing the show and the BFRO..........has anyone besides me and I think one or two others here been to the BFRO forum to find out the answers to all this horse poo?

Obviously we were ALL disappointed in the Lack of finishing the Thermal image, the Methane from a gator lair <_< and a few other things..........Unfortunately, MM did not have a lot of Control over the final editing............it appears AP producers are the ones who have screwed this up.............they are certainly NOT bigfoot enthusiasts and they "Thought" they were making it more entertaining

My understanding is the AP producers came up with a few of the items we think are BS..............Surprised? I'm not

seriously, if you have ever been to florida there does not need to be a theory as to why a big hairy humanoid monster would stink to high heck with the heat and humidity in that place.

Where not bashing where expressing our opinions. So come on, Whos name is on the show BFRO. Whos money is behind the BFRO? Wally, and i'm sure he has good lawyers whom could of gotten MM more control over these editing issues. If it dosen't get corrected, I think many will just tune the show out.

IMO
