The Ketchum Report

Anyone who takes negative ratings by the BBB seriously is falling for the scam.;

I recall asking a former Boss of a company that I helped run "Are we listed with the BBB?" His answer "No. It's a scam. They want you to pay for a "good recommendation"

I trust Bernie, he's been doing business for 50 years, with primarily Law Enforcement, local, state, and federal.

So if Melba Ketchum has any negative marks with the BBB, it's just because she didn't pay them a fee.

So to me, both this issue as well as the BBB nonsense, are irrelevant to the argument, especially the BBB stuff, they are for lack of a better word, extortionists.

That's simply not true. Take BBB for what it's worth. it's just simply an *Indicator*, but there WAS a basis for the rating. Several customers complained of not getting results in a timely manner or NOT AT ALL.

The "simply not true" statement is naive. Watch the 20/20 special link posted above (and several times before) or Google "Better Business Bureau Extortion" to learn more. GoLD, myself, and other business owners and people that have dealt with BBB can vouch for the fact the BBB is an extortion racket.

I know it is really exciting to find all these BBB complaints for slow/no service regarding Dr. Ketchum. It doesn't really amount to a hill of beans. As GoLD pointed out, you need to look at the number of complaints against total transactions to see how relevant it is. Note that the complaints are largely clustered around a certain time frame that is linked to their need to outsource certain types of DNA analysis because of patent issues in a lawsuit. Once that time frame is over then how many complaints do you see? Three or four? Big deal... the entire effort to denigrate Dr. Ketchum based on BBB complaints is based on naive understanding of the way the BBB operates, and little understanding of the way her business operates.

No matter what, the BBB complaints have nothing to do with accuracy of DNA analysis, do they?

Does the HD video need to be peer reviewed also? I'd rather see an untouched video then the paper.

Perhaps this is speculation on my part, however I rather think Dr MK has a few layers of backup in case the report is shot down.Perhaps

she has managed to trap the scientific community to a degree, which is why this is taking so long. I would more say the time is being used to

allow the media its time to do its thing...as the "powers that be" work to find a way out of this thing with the primate angle in the fore at best.

If it fails peer review I believe she will bring forth another layer, perhaps a piece of a body or an actual body, and also she has the HD footage.

The confidence I see coming from her coupled with the rabid smear campaign against her seems to bring a degree of predictability to

fold as far as I am concerned. You can liken this process to a high stakes poker game without being too far off. The only question is

what are her cards, and if shes bluffing there really is no pot to win, so do the math Id say.

Nope, but the Skeptics don't want to admit that...they just want to keep ad hom-ing Ketchum with irrelevancies.

TP.....

There are some that are not capable of doing the math... It must be in their DNA ...........

They think that a professional just wants to devote ( yes devote) 5 years of their life, to hoax something they did not believe in until presented in their own "Scientific way" that their beliefs were no longer valid, and were open minded enough, ( a trait most skoptics and some skeps don't have) to change their own value system and accept their findings.......

THAT thinking, IMHO, just does not make sense.... (It's the DNA thingy isn't it?)

In this day and time, there is no way a hoax ...... ( get it a HOAX) will float.. If it were a hoax and got nailed .....

She would no longer have a future in any profession, not in Genetics or as Veterinarian .

Some Skoptics just don't get it..... I don't think their DNA can grasp this simple notion.....

Sorry for a double post ... My comment was tied to ThePaige's comment... So my part is listed below .....

But IMHO.... After the paper is released ....... There will be many, many more ..... That will come out of the woodwork ....

Promises, promises. All this "stuff" building up in reserve for when the paper comes out, which will then flood us with videos, pictures, bodies, everything one could want. I'll believe it when I see it. The paper has to come first, though, right? Then the dam will open? How about one of the videos first, to open the dam for the paper to pour through? ;-)

Love your Avatar Tontar

Yes, promises, so sad .... I kinda expected the last delay after the developments in the Sykes group....

But, ......... because it taint so yet, are we to blame Ketchum, ........ Or the LameStream Scientific Academic Community

Or both....

Please present valid evidence that one or both are to blame .... Please leave any more personal attacks out..

( not referring to you Tontar )

Otherwise we wait for "The Paper"

Patience Little Grasshopper ......... It shall come .....

I'm not buying into any conspiracy theories, nor blaming anyone for the delays or embargoes or whatever. Just wondering if any of this promised stuff will ever materialize. We've only got two more days until the world ends, so I'm starting to worry...

The BBB argument was grasping at straws. Even if the BBB were a legitimate consumer protection organization, which it has been proven not to be, and has never been, not one of the alleged complaints involved dishonesty or scamming, but, rather, common business mishaps, and very few for being in business for such a long time.

It's hardly promises anyway is it ?

If i'm not mistaken, the general public shouldn't even know what it does about the study anyway and only knows what it knows because of leaks to NDA's and then of course Dr K's press releases and subsequent interviews because of them ?

That's the whole reason NDA's were signed, so as no one would promise anything.
