Branco
Hey branco how you been? anything exciting lately? Doing pretty dang good! Yeah; lot's of stuff going on in the mountains and the river bottoms. Just no way to check out all the area report locations, so I'm having to pick out the most recent reports from folks that I've worked with for a long time. Got an on-the-spot call phone call from a friend (who has Verizon cell service; he can call out from the bottoms. I have AT&T; it won't have a "bar' of service when I'm down there) last night who was being escorted out of the bottoms by a booger that has a reputation of throwing rocks, big limbs and big dead fish at folks in the area at night. He finally shined a hunter's light beam and saw the thing's eye shine, and it got PO'ed, vocalized and turned and walked away. Itching to go down there today but can't take the risk. Youth deer hunt with modern guns today and tomorrow. Will go Monday to set up another game cam in the area and look for tracks. We'll try to kill a feral hog and hang it out near a deer feeder that's in that area. We'll at least see some pics of other critters; that's for sure. Regards my friend. georgerm
this is a great thread! I don't know if I was encountering BF or not, but it certainly makes meI wonder what if? At the age of 5 or so, we were living with my grandparents. ( my mom and siblings ) due to my parents separation. My grandparents lived waaaay out in the country along the red river. The kind of out in the country where you are miles from a paved road. ( all dirt and sand! lol ) I was horribly afraid to sleep in my room at night because I would see things in my window looking at me. I told my grandpa they looked like cavemen and werewolves. To make me feel better, he would take his gun make a round of the house, and come back telling me everything was fine. As I mentioned they lived very close to the river and the house was surrounded by woods on three sides. I don't remember what these "things" looked like vividly, but I do remember they were dark, almost like I was seeing a shadow of a caveman. Hard to explain and through a child's eyes you know. I was so terrified these things would come to my window my mom thought I had a bed wetting problem and often she would wake up with me crawled in a ball asleep at her bedroom door. Even during the day the woods scared me at the back of the house and I dared not go in there without my brother. It was long ago, but I have certainly never forgotten that fear I felt there. You were most likely seeing the real deal! What a horrible experience.
jayjeti
I don't know whether this one is scary, but it is indeed very strange. As the story goes, in 1938 British Columbia, a man was hunting in the woods with his dog, the dog suddenly picked up a scent and went bounding and barking off, it followed the scent to a large stack of logs and branches hidden behind heavy brush, the hunter immediately noticed both the odd location and size of the log pile, and it's revolting odor. But the dog had already got inside the brush pile, and was fighting with something inside. The hunter heard a shrieking sound coming from the log, then both his dog and the creature came tumbling out of the log pile. The creature inside was a naked, filthy white boy, covered in dirt and with very long hair. The boy screamed as the dog attacked him, and the hunter immediately called the dog off, before the hunter could even check if the boy was wounded, a rumbling scream came roaring through the forest. The dog cowered, and tried to run away. Then, the hunter saw it, a massive black hair covered shape charging through the trees directly at him. He lost his nerve, turned and ran, as he fled he heard the creatures rumbling scream again. The man ran for miles absolutely terrified, his dog too had run off into the woods. The man got his bearings and found his way back to logging camp, the dog was never seen again. I read this report from an old newspaper on a sightings page, the website has since been taken down but i remember this story vividly, the hunter described what his dog attacked as definitely a human boy, white, skinny with very long hair and incredibly filthy, but definetley human. Whatever came charging to the boys apparent rescue, however was not. What was a young boy doing naked out in the depths of the British Columbia woods, why would a bigfoot apparent protect him, and why would a hunting dog attack something obviously human? bigteddy, the following story is not that scary either, but it has such similarities to your story that I thought I would post it. Like your story it is about a human boy being cared for by a sasquatch, also in British Columbia, but in more recent times. Your's was in 1938. Do sasquatches sometime raise human kids? Bigfoot Roaming the Wilds with a Child? May 19, 2000 -- VANCOUVER, Canada - Excited researchers are combing the wilds of British Columbia in response to recent sightings of Bigfoot accompanied by a blond-haired boy! More than two-dozen people claim to have seen the human youngster dressed in animal skins and loping along beside the towering man beast. Investigators speculate that the mystery boy may be the missing survivor of a plane crash that occurred in the area 11 years ago, raised from childhood by Bigfoot. "This is the most tantalizing development in Bigfoot research to take place in decades," said Dr. Rob Worrier, a zoologist involved in the hunt for the elusive forest creature. "It suggests that Bigfoot is not some shambling monster as he is often depicted, but a gentle and intelligent being capable of nurturing behavior and compassion." Dentist Dr. Arthur Gosten who was camping in the Rockies with his family first spotted the boy, described by eyewitnesses as lean and wiry with long, matted hair, in late March. The Vancouver man was awakened in the early morning by the frantic cries of his 12 year-old daughter. When he emerged from his tent, he saw her pointing into the woods. "She said that a 'wild boy' was stealing our food," Dr. Gosten recalls. "I looked where she was pointing and saw this half naked boy slinking off into the trees with an armful of canned goods." Shouting after the child, Dr. Gosten gave chase and caught up with him at the edge of a clearing. "I couldn't believe my eyes. The boy was standing next to an enormous, hairy, man like creature at least 8 feet tall," Dr. Gosten said. "The thing took some of the boys load, then they ambled off together into the woods, both of them walking with the same hunched over, ape like stride." Since that sighting, at least 33 people have reported seeing the wild boy and his hairy companion. Witnesses have included clergymen, forest rangers and even members of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. In many cases, the mismatched duo has been heard exchanging guttural sounds as if talking. "This youngster has all the earmarks of a feral child. A child that has had no human contact and has been raised by an animal," said the Seattle based Dr. Worrier. "The fact that his gait is similar to the Bigfoot and that they can communicate is evidence that the creature is his surrogate parent." Researchers believe that the wild boy Sightings may be connected to the 1989 crash of a private plane carrying a party of French tourists visiting the region. The crash left the pilot and four passengers dead including young mother Madeleine Dusoire. Madeleine's baby Marcel was missing and the remains of the 1-year-old infant were never found. - --- Source: Ken Kristian Logged in the database July 29, 2001 - Bobbie Short http://www.bigfootencounters.com/articles/BFbaby.htm Edited November 2, 2014 by jayjeti

Woodslore
Another one I liked, though might have been a hoax some people have told me. The bigfoot 911 call. http://cryptozoologynews.com/remembering-1996-bigfoot-911-call/ Been trying to find a few others but can't for the life of me. Can't remember f they were on the old forum or BFRO.
bipedalist Posted January 6, 2015 BFF Patron Share Posted January 6, 2015 (edited) The scariest ones in my mind are the ones experienced by children. I'm thinking of BFRO Wilson County Tennessee of the post-stroke or cancerous jaw BF with the sagging face/mouth. Note great artwork of what children saw by Sybilla Irwin. How is it that the artwork rarely shows the hands below or just at the lower part of the knee always above? Woodslore
How is it that the artwork rarely shows the hands below or just at the lower part of the knee always above? I noticed that too in a lot of reports of any type of hominid (dogman, lizardman, etc). When somebody draws what they saw they seem to leave that part out or it is just, in the case of hands, a mitten. Maybe they are too focused on the face to notice anything else. I know if I saw the face in the artwork looking back at be be it in the woods, through a window, or where every I would be freaked out and not thinking of the hands or the legs. There are many reports that I read that would leave you shaking your head in disbelief, but I especially find those dealing with missing children or scaring beyond bearable. Biped – I examined the drawing attached to the link you posted, and my first impression was a mild stroke victim … it reminded exactly what stroke incur. dlaw
Bipedalist, I talked to the BFRO researcher who interviewed thise two children(I think they were both 12 yrs old and seasoned hunters. The young man was scared to death-he had an idea what had been parallelling their trail down an old loggin road, and would not travel past a curve in the road. The young lady did continue on and saw the creature. Researcher told me that the young lady did not previously believe in BF's, but she seemed to be the cooler of the two and gave a pretty good description to the researcher. The young man was very frightened, due to the massive size of the creature, feeling it could break him in two. Said he was never going into the woods without a gun again. I believe that the young man's father had a sighting when he was young, but not in the same area.

7.62
On 11/21/2011 at 1:48 PM, bipedalist said: I'd read this one early on in my exploration of sightings. It always stuck with me. Would you have stayed around if you knew the next things to be thrown would be baseball and basketball sized rocks? 12-gauge or not? The guy thought it was a human playing tricks on him. What he did not know then is that in fact Sasquatch enjoy games and tricks as much as your best buddy does pulling them on you. Chances are he was protecting a family or young squatch.....they may have been traveling and found a good water/food supply or something just as important a good hunting ground or good visibility of local wildlife. What struck me about the story is I look for statements that sound off . For example it first sounds like the person is a gun owner , a hunter and has basic knowledge firearms in one sentence . Then he sounds like a Typical news reporter who has no knowledge of firearms making statements about a shooting. bipedalist Posted June 25, 2017 BFF Patron Share Posted June 25, 2017 And in a cases like these, you don't know what editorial license the BFRO reporter/investigator adds to the write up and what was the childrens story.
