  1. Same place it was before. Bart and Tyler had sample tested for Justin quite a while back and that's the results that were announced. It was posted here months ago. Anyone surprised just hasn't been paying attention. That doesn't mean he didn't shoot two. He left whatever it was for 5 weeks, not 3 as reported, under snow. There's no particular reason to believe what was recovered came from what he shot. That's why chain of custody is so important with evidence. The real impact is on the Ketchum report. The sample has been tested, 2-3 times independently with results directly conflicting what she claimed to find. IMHO, anyway ... MIB

  2. No. She was an African. A modern African. Without any other evidence of which there is currently none, to say different, this is what you have to assume. Really, this is soul destroying. You are all clutching at one throw-away flight of fancy and ignoring the solid evidence.

  3. They suggest that interbreeding went on between the members of several ancient human-like groups living in Europe and Asia more than 30,000 years ago, including an as-yet unknown human ancestor from Asia. ^ I'd say it's time to check out the DNA from the Red Deer cave people, and see if this mystery hominin from Asia lived on for another 15,000 years.

  4. Hello All, Personally, I don't have an issue with a test coming back as Human. I mean is it considered a flop if the test DOESN"T come back unknown primate? Why is "Human" not good enough and always thought to be a result of contamination? IMHO if the results say Human then I think that to be somewhat significant. Especially if all the precautions were taken to insure that the sample was pure.

  5. Drew , The wolf skull has an over all broad skull and a some what thicker snout when viewed from above when compared to a thylacine skull from the same view { near the orbital sockets starting position this is visible }, there is also some teeth arrangement and size differences in the rear upper teeth on the wolf skull . The wolf skull also has lobe off the back of the jaw bone that the thylacine does not posses. Here is a link to the photo for reference. http://u2know.net/uploads/big_8593ed0a0b4d8eab16e51259af7e93a1.jpg I do agree that they look rather similar from the side view though. I apologize for the tardy response, the forums where making posting impossible in this thread for me the other day for some unknown reason.

  6. Personally I use sterilized 20 gauge shotgun bore brushes zip tied to the tip of a spruce branch with the copper wire teeth sticking out from the underside of the branch. I put them up at about 6 foot to 6 foot 4 . These work great for hair collection, I deployed about 4 of them this last year on main game trails in area D, we will see what turns up.

  7. It reinforces my opinion that current research practices, unfortunately, just don't cut it and a complete overhaul with what is done in the field needs to be considered. And I have every respect for anyone who attempts to get dirty in the field looking for evidence of this animals existence, but current methods just aren't good enough. And I will bite on this one. Remember, what I saw was not a bear, not a Gorilla, not any known animal or not a man and all I'm left with is thousands of sightings describing the same thing that I saw. That's all I'm left with and the only conclusion I can personally make, what I saw is the same as what is written about in thousands of sighting reports in North America. Just because a Professor tested x amount of samples with no positive results in any doesn't change my personal opinion that this animal exists one little iota. If I had other options regarding what I saw that day I'd be all ears, but I don't have any.
