  1. Since I'm posting about forum rules and reports, this is a staff statement. The ignore function is a wonderful tool. Unfortunately, the staff can't use it because we have to be able to see and review every post. However, that's nearly impossible on a forum this large. This is why we have a report function on the forum. If you see a post that doesn't keep with the rules you can, and should, report it. Having said that, both sides of the proverbial fence are welcome to participate in the discussion. Note the term "discussion." Members are free to question statements and conclusions made by other members, but they're not free to do so in a disrespectful manner. They're also not free to keep pounding the same question(s) at another member repeatedly if the member doesn't answer, or if the member doesn't answer the question to their satisfaction. That's antagonistic behavior, which is trolling. No member of the BFF has an obligation to answer any question, particularly when the question is intended to imply misdeeds or wrongdoing by those skeptical of their efforts or of their intentions. We welcome skeptics on the forum, but not when they are cynical about it. To constantly pound a member because you want to imply that they're somehow wrong or hoaxing is not cool. If you find proof of this, then yes, it's fair game, and a member can actually be removed from the BFF if the evidence shows that they were involved in a hoax. My staff hat is now off. These statements are my own. It's perfectly legal to apply for and benefit from a tax-exempt status. Your standard of what should be tax-exempt isn't necessarily that of the government. I fail to see how this even comes into play in this discussion other than to attempt to imply that the member is doing so in a fraudulent manner. This is nothing more than an attempt to cast doubt onto someone's character, which I find to be rather weak and underhanded. If someone is abusing their tax-exempt status, that's between them and the government. How it has anything to do with the member and the validity of their claims and evidence is beyond me.

  2. Some have a different term for what a "surprising number" means... I sincerely hope you do not have an actual experience, if you think things are annoying now, imagine how annoying it will be while choking down the feathers as you are eating the crow. Or perhaps youd just keep it to yourself. Listen bud it isnt a matter of helping anything... its a matter of reporting a truth, what you think about it doesn't matter one iota, we do however help one another ..we who have experienced those things that you find so annoying.

  3. Roughly three dozen of the last 50 plus posts in this thread are either from members who generally scoff at the idea of Bigfoot/Sasquatch/Wood Apes in general and N.A.W.A.C.'s work in X specifically, or are in response to those posts. I've put a number of said members on ignore, yet it seems useless as I see their opinions quoted by other members whose posts I otherwise appreciate and often learn from. The only way that I believe this thread can be kept on track for those of us actually interested in and supportive of Brian and N.A.W.A.C.'s work is if as a group, we utilize the ignore function. I understand how personally satisfying it is to post a thoughtful response to an irritating one, yet it simply tells the other member that they have gotten under your skin and encourages further agitating. I'm sure to be roundly criticized by certain members for this post, but I won't have to worry about seeing any of it unless it is as a quote.

  4. Nothing we haven't speculated about before. Something that unsettles some status quo that has big ripples. Economics, religion, politics, human origins, proof of aliens ... yada yada yada. Whatever it is, the fact that we don't have the proof on the table means either it doesn't exist or the people who hold it choose to suppress it, I don't think there can be much question about that dichotomy. My belief here is that IF the proof exists, the people who know it voluntarily suppress it. I don't believe ANY threat is sufficient to make every person who knows a secret keep it for more than 50 years, someone would talk. It has to be at least partially voluntary. Extrapolating, my guess is if you found out or I found out, since everyone else so far has held the secret, probably whatever it is, it's sufficient to convince us to do the same thing. I am only guessing though. Well, looks like its time for good little MIBs to brush their teeth and go to bed. Catch you tomorrow. Have a good evening. MIB

  5. In my opinion those that yammer away about habituation are the lowest. Some even have websites dedicated to the food they put out and the dozens of bf they say they have coming around. Not only are these foolish claims counter productive, they attract others who post claims and "information" that is so silly, they drive away the folks that used to really make sense. t.

  6. Hello DWA, Totally agree! With existence being acknoledged some might think it wouldn't reach chaos but the "usual" summer at say, Yellowstone, is already chaotic. Researching areas of Sasquatch activity would escalate in the public arena and the Human/hunter presence in areas not normally prone to that kind of influx/pressure would change drastically. No, acknowledging existence has to be NOT an option. I've given the dynamic much thought during the "Is Sasquatch a Secret" thread. One can only imagine the fallout. Not to mention ANY industrial activity would recieve an immense amount of public sentiment against the typical intrusiveness of logging and fracking. Two activities that for now at least are relatively low key media-wise.

  7. To spread a bit more info about the TM-X thermal camera I am shooting for, here is a video { the video poster has 2 other vids of the camera in action } of the TM-X at 240 { digital output is higher at 320 resolution }. The videos seem to show good resolution and frame rate { actually the frame rate matches even high end units } for the price.

  8. Hello Gotta Know, Just a very lucid and terrific post. You look at it from a different perspective too. Well done. Sasquatch is like the tidal marshes; as they go so go we but Sasquatch are survivors. It's hard to say who the canary in the mine is but my guess, if I were to make one, would be us. Ultimately we are the canary in the mine. Sasquatch would live on- tough creature.
