  2. ^Just as easily as saying they do eat deer. That's how much weight empty words hold.

  3. The Hominidae (/hɒˈmɪnɨdiË/; also known as great apes[notes 1]) form a taxonomic family of primates, including four extant genera: chimpanzees (Pan) – 2 species gorillas (Gorilla) – 2 species humans (Homo) – 1 species http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hominidae

  4. Actually, Caveman, I don't know nearly as much about them as a bunch of other people on this site. You probably wouldn't be interested in my perspectives.

  5. I agree, another thread would be no more productive than this thread is. Good point Hairy Man.

  6. It seems that when it comes to providing evidence for his claims made here that DWA is a bit of a Slacksquatch

  7. Sounds like you've got it all specced out. I defer to your expertise.

  8. Actually most aren't. Chimps are one of the few and even they mostly consume plant based foods. If Bigfoot is indeed a primate then the only logical explanation for it to have arrived in North America is over the land bridge. It would be the descendant of gigantopithecus and cousin of the orangutan who most certainly doesn't consume meat. Stop thinking just because an animal is large it must consume meat. If Bigfoot were tracking and following dear around America, there would have been one brought in by now. And no there isn't any evidence of Bigfoot eating dear or stealing animals, just outlandish stories. Educate yourself before you try to educate someone else.

  9. Quadrapeds CAN step in their own tracks and leave what appears from a distance to be bipedal tracks. They don't do it EVERY step across 3 miles while changing pace, stride, and direction. You WILL get instances where separate tracks of all 4 feet appear. There was no sign of that in the vid. More than that, I've spent a fair bit of time tracking quadrapeds in snow. There should be toe-drag both in and out of the steps, not clean post-holes. Quadrapeds like horses, cows, and elk can't walk in a way to leave the rather clean tracks the video demonstrates in the amount of snow that is shown. It just doesn't work. We may have to disagree here 'cause I don't think I see what I think you say you think you see. To my eye, it's either a hoax somehow perpetrated by someone with super-human stride and strength, absolutely flaw-free for 3 miles, or it's the real deal. MIB

  10. I come to this site because it intrigues me, the subject matter intrigues me, and I like to get as much info as possible to make as an informed opinion on the subject of BF as I can. But threads like this and how the OP presented himself - One can understand folks having serious questions about the veracity. I think it's fair if you want to believe the OP, or at least not absolutely discount what he said. And also fair if the OP's posting style raises some serious eyebrows and receives some of the responses that have been given in the thread.

  12. Your imagination is getting the best of you. I've been there. I was a little concerned when he was approaching 'cause it was fast 'n' furious and I was a little afraid of being stepped on, but once I heard his pace slack off, then stop 4-5 feet away so I knew I wasn't going to be stepped on, my worry went away. I spent 45 minutes or so in my tent (tent? more like a bivy .. .90 inches long, 30 inches wide, about 16-18 inches tall) while the big guy messed with it apparently testing to see what I'd do. I don't know whether he left first or I fell asleep first. It doesn't mean nothing can go wrong, but at some point, you have to realize life itself is a terminal illness, none of us survive it. Prepare for the worst, hope for the best, believe in yourself, in your gear, in your capacity to use it to rise to whatever comes. MIB

  14. No one knows, which is why it's a little silly to do it IMO. But hey, if it's good enough for FB, then it's good enough for everyone else..

  15. Hello Darrell, Post #263 could be the straw so to speak. There will be no "numerous" links but if we're lucky not too much damage was done to the newcomers. That's what worries me the most. When statements are made hoping that they'll get passed around long enough to be taken as fact. Not good.

  16. Hello All, This is actually a very intelligent thread, Thank you TedSallis. BTW, a way to beef up the concept of the long term historic migration of the Sasquatch populations would anyone care to delve onto John Green's stuff and sort the data with the goal of corraborating the idea?
