  1. The bodies all start with a skull and that skull doesn't just disappear. You trying to tell me that 10's of thousands of years of buried Sasquatch bodies don't have heads to be found? While millions of acres of land all over the country are being cleared by ordinary people? Or that not even a single one of those people would decide to report or display one if found? Suddenly the thread becomes "Let's NOT do some math".. I guess it's only good when supporting a sacred belief system. We have thousands of reports of excited people over the years blatting to the world that they really saw a real live Bigfoot, but yet somehow not a single person would be interested in reporting finding a large Bigfoot skull or bones. "Humans don't work that way", do they? Maybe Bigfoot teleports the bodies through inter-dimensional portals to the Bigfoot planet? Yeah that's a good way out.

  2. At some point our illustrious poster that simply posts the same thing in every thread should simply type "ditto" to save himself much finger-sweat.

  3. Good gravy, no. I have never had an encounter. Hopefully, this will be the end of this line of inquiry. Believe me, or not. It's up to you. I am still in the woods all year long. I mountain bike, hike, cross country ski and kayak remote tributaries of Lake Erie alone. No, I have zero fear of 8ft apes running around Ontario woods.

  4. Fair enough. I had several encounters before I read anything about them or even talked with anyone who was aware of them, aside from those who happened to be with me during some of the encounters. I mentally classified them based on their behaviors, and the way they interacted with me. In all cases, their behavior was what I would expect of an aboriginal human. The classifications I mentally considered and discarded included monster, animal and ape.

  5. I'd say "check your assumptions at the door." What bearing would your belief on something being probable or likely have on it being reality? I mean, really. Seems like you have it backwards. You should be studying what is rather than trying to pick and choose what "facts" you'll consider in a way that best supports your foregone conclusion. What I smelled is NOTHING like what you presume I smelled. Deal with it or ignore it, it's your choice. MIB

  6. Mistaken does not equal hallucination. Mistaken can include just about anything. It can include intoxication, hallucination, paraedolia, mistaking a common animal or person, etc, etc. In my opinion all reports are either mistakes or lies. But that is not a narrow band of options. It's actually quite wide. "Which means I believe some did see what they said they saw, many who are on this forum and topic thread. I believe they are quite competent enough to differentiate between known things and things not known, and I do not think they are lying or incapable of interpreting reality" Peoplebooger But why? I am not trying to be a jerk here, I am simply asking this question objectively. What makes you convinced of the above? Do you know these people? Have you met them in person? Do you even know their names? Quite often people don't even truly "know" their friends or co-workers as well as they think they do. Anonymous posters on a forum dedicated to what almost the entire world views as a fringe topic, or an adult fairy tale? You think therein will be a bastion of truth and perception? I would expect differently to be honest. I truly think that the human element is not examined strongly enough in this phenomenon. Humans make mistakes. Human hallucinate and humans lie. These things happen every day. To think they have little bearing on bigfoot reports is wishful thinking or outright willful ignorance.

  7. I would like for someone here to show me an example of a species being worse off under the protection of the endangered species act? As for the mountain gorilla, if they were unknown to western science? Does anyone truly believe they would still be extant? It's conservation groups and funding from around the world that is trying to protect them....... Not kill them.

  8. Most animals, including some of the top predators like the Great White Shark, don't normally or naturally kill humans. When wild animals attack people there is usually a reason - protecting young, defending a den, etc. Carniverous type animals dont usually just kill unless they are hungry. Using gorillas as an example, they seem to be pretty low key. They can be ferocious appearing with roars, chest beating, mock charges and intimidation, but they seem to be pretty retiring and shy creatures overall. I cant say I have ever heard of a gorilla actually attacking someone. I personally view bigfoot as being more of an omnivore too than a carnivore or great hunter. But that is just my opinion. Most predatory animals are anatomically different than a human or great ape. or, like humans, they use tools and have used tools like spears for tens of thousands of years to hunt, since we are not natural physical hunters. I do not know of any overwelming evidence of bigfoot ever killing anyone at least in any number of incidents outside of the norm for large animals. Mostly it seems to be more anecdotal, like the story related by Teddy Roosevelt that implied something like a Sasquatch killed a man.

  9. On pain of another section 1A deletion: Sorry but I find this incredibly and insultingly condescending. Who are you to advise, as some unknown, anonymous minority poster on an internet forum that already caters to a minority? My world view is going to be seriously reconsidered on your unsubstantiated, weak, vague and very unsubtle references to pop-culture conspiracy theory? LOL. Unlike the valid credentials of the writers of the text books and the educators that by default you superficially dismiss on a whim, we know nothing of you other than what you choose to post (under the current assumed screen name). I see nothing in what you have posted (including your alleged background) remotely compelling. Just the opposite in fact. I hear alarm bells and see red flags at every turn.
