  1. You need to visit with a (Oklahoma) CO and get your facts straight. What I did was no different than using perch (gamefish in Oklahoma) as bait on the end of a fishing/trot line which is perfectly legal as well. XC, It was partially thawed by the time it was planted in place. BTW, a client (worked for a meat company) gave us ~#30 of outdated cold cuts that we placed in a pile next to the "natural" bait. It sat there untouched for ~2 months before if finally decomposed into a glob on the ground. The crap we eat...and the critters have more sense than we...apparently. Wanton Waste No person may capture, kill or destroy any wildlife protected by law and remove the head, claws, teeth, hide, antlers, horns or any or all of such parts from the carcass with the intent to abandon the carcass. Penalties and fines have been increased for anyone convicted of improperly disposing of wildlife. * http://www.eregulations.com/oklahoma/hunting/general-hunting-regulations/

  2. Note to self, when trying to dogpile or be snarky, try not to do it from a position of ignorance.

  3. No, Shelly, and very few good riflemen can either. Only the very best of the best with superb $$$ equipment aspire to that kind of range. Under field conditions, 300 yards is the practical limit for most hunters. Longer shots, especially over 500 yards, require either years of constant practice, or the very latest in computerized laser ranging scopes, and lots more practice with them, too.

  4. Surely that's missing the point though Ken ? Surely the point is regarding the credibility of the witness, ie this be being a Wildlife Biologist ? I may be wrong but I thought this specific report was just used as an example of the point the OP was trying to make. Of course however, if it's just dismissed as completely made up and pure fabrication as some would undoubtedly think, then the fact that the witness was a Wildlife Biologist doesn't matter at all anyway. With regards to the dmeister ( dmaker ), there really is no other option than " I don't believe this one because......) in his world, no matter what details or lack of details are in the report anyway. There really is no point whatsoever in arguing or showing x or y to that mentality so don't drive yourself mad trying to do so people.

  5. Dmaker, I will state it again just in case you missed it, I contacted the investigator and received verification that the person in the report is indeed a biologist as stated in the report. The investigator visited with the witness several times both in and out of his place of work. Your deduction on the validity of the report is unfounded.
