I have observed bipedal entities in the field (in multiple instances) for which there currently exists no mainstream scientific explanation/classification. In one instance (cookout incident) within ~25 minutes of observing one of these intities (for the third time that evening) a 14' wooden structure towerstand (weighing ~1200#) located ~75 yards NNE of our location was slammed over, as a child would a tinkertoy. It took 4 men and a 1500# ATV winch to later right it. Whatever this was then followed us up out of the bottoms to hurl a softball size stone from a distance of ~80 yards into the landowner's front yard, apparently as a signal to us about the efforts we had employed that evening in an attempt to get a shot at it. My reasons for mentioning this include: Whatever this is, possesses a much higher degree of intelligence, than we had previously thought. Whatever this is, possesses incredible physical strength. Whatever this is, exercised considerable forebearance by simply not coming in and terminating our existence(s) on this planet. And, in doing so, indicated (to us) that, it was doing rather well w/o our assistance in "discovering" it via killing one for physical evidence purposes. The watershed nature of this event is when my egocentricity began to be replaced with an understanding predicated upon empathy and common sense. If/when they are "discovered" IMO, there will be far more negative consequences (for them) than anyone imagined as the motivational forces driving those to do so (vanity/greed) are malignant (..."None of this bantering will make the beast appear"...) such as attempts demonize them in an effort to validate the position. But then again, homo sapiens are the most homicidal and viscous critters on this planet.

No demonizing needed........ It lives in the forest like an animal. It does not create fire, tools, art or any other trappings we associate with being civilized. The hand axe is over a million years old, and predates our own species. And yet Squatch does not even have a mastery of this crude technology. You can go ahead and believe in your forest shaman theory Yuchi. You join the ranks of a large group of people on this forum who believe the same thing. But if they are as intelligent as us? And bigger stronger and faster than us? We would be the ones peering from the shadows at the edge of their roads. It would be their planet.

SWWASSP, it saddens me to hear you might give up on this particular bunch.... My guess is that the intimidation tactics are related to your use of the camera, and that, if you stopped using the camera -- even just temporarily -- you would see a change in behavior. Wouldn't that be an interesting experiment, to see if they get friendlier again, when you leave the camera behind? You don't have to abandon the camera forever, but it would be a good basic litmus test of your true relationship with them. It would tell you something about their true feelings about you. Isn't it worth knowing that? Their true feelings? And then, when you knew how they really felt, you could re-evaluate/re-think the camera thing from a position of greater knowledge. If they continued to be grumpy, that would certainly affirm that starting over with another clan might be a good plan. If they stop being grumpy, well, then, that's an interesting situation, isn't it? If they stop being grumpy at that point, it might be worth thinking longer and harder about ways of working with them that pleased you both. I don't think you're ever going to find a bunch of BF who are publicity hounds. They're all going to get turned off by the camera, at some point. So the real question becomes, who likes you enough to possibly start overlooking this behavior of yours? This gang might be that gang. I think they really like you. Not all BF like all people. The connections you've made might be really precious, and worth a little extra thinking to preserve. Just my thoughts.

Yes, Iam very well versed in this misguided mindset. The malevolent all knowing forest giant that by CHOICE, chooses to commune with nature. *Insert monk chanting here* They leave habbers intricate knot figurines, and try to communicate their wisdom to us about the planet. Of course? We won't know that until we shoot one and study it, measure it's brain case and study it's DNA. All roads lead back to proof, everything else is conjecture. It's too bad you have left the path of truth and got lost in the forest of Mumbo jumbo.

As far as outing the location and this is the last post I'm making on that subject (possibly). Wingman hit it spot on about disclosing the location of X would bring in more outsiders. I have had issues here at my place, very "disturbing issues" of people being in my woods being captured on my cams far back in my woods and the most disturbing is a truck with 2 men with their tag "blacked out with electrical tape". I have sent pics to several members on this forum of the vehicle trying to ID the truck, IMO probably footers. Most of the issues I've had is after I've been open about sharing activity when it was ongoing. My property is "posted" it's not cheap to post signs in legal fashion to cover 26 acres. As a female I carry daily, loaded and chambered.
