  1. "But it seemed to not be as strong, and I wonder if proximity to the individual(s) creating the infrasound plays a role, diminishing its intensity the further you are away from the source." jayjeti, that is correct, the intensity of sound, of any frequency, increases or decreases by the factor of distance squared. So if you move 50% closer to the source, it will increase by 4 times, or if you double the distance away, it will decrease by 4 times. You are also right about each persons' physiology causing different reactions to the same stimulus. A good friend of mine finds that the heavy bass of some stereo systems actually hurt his chest, while it doesn't affect me in the same way.

  2. How do you suggest evidence be vetted? Remember, this needs to be something available to, and within the means of, the people who have their boots on the ground who obtain the evidence. Many of those people are going into the woods, parks, fields etc with no clue there is any such thing as a sasquatch, so how are they going to prepare to do this vetting you want? Who is going to do the vetting? A bunch of people hiding behind screen names on a forum? Who is qualified? There really are NO experts, just some folks who think they are. Even the people who are professionals in the sense that they derive their income from bigfoot research, which are pretty few, fall short of being "experts." So what is this vetting process you're suggesting, who will perform it, and how will it be paid for? MIB
