  2. Remember, "a mime is a terrible thing to waste" and in the movie "Silent Movie", there was only one spoken word. I digress. The point made by MIB about 'auditory pareidolia' is very valid. When I heard 'samurai chatter', I was walking up a river bed. Each time I heard a burst of chatter, I stopped and aimed my ears towards the sounds and 'worked' hard to try to pick up familiar words. There was a little windage at the time and white noise from flowing water. Is the 'samurai chatter' regional?

  3. I promised and I delivered, this is the clip from show 68 members(states 2 individuals were killed and one survived), which is discussing the Bob Garret campsite incidence with greater details, some of which I will not vouch for, read my previous posts to see where I stand on this issue...Wes discusses what apparently was told to him by Bob Garrett, or at least that is how Wes portrays the situation, if this is true, which I somehow doubt, then all bets are off for my camping trip this summer. If a government cover up is involved this post will no longer be available in the near future.... DR0000_1173.mp3

  4. Perhaps the perception of familiarity of language is an auditory version of pareidolia. Just as we try to match visual inputs to known patterns, we try to match audio inputs to known patterns. If they are close but not exact, perhaps it's our minds filling in the blanks that makes it seem familiar. MIB

  6. Yes, I must admit it, I gave them $14 of my green stuff, and it probably was on the "down the rabbit hole part 1 members edition"(having wasted 14 bucks it seems a bit ironic the title) or it may have been a show or two earlier, I will try to find that clip, I do not know if I can pirate it, but if I can I will. Oh I know how, never mind. I will try and post it here soon. Maybe a bit more than the clip might be needed. Well anyway it was clearly stated, though not whether Bob actually found the bodies at the scene, but he did say blood was found at the campsite. So we got something to chase down here. Obviously there should be some kind of police record if two people were actually killed, or some news print. If it is not pure sensationalism, and actually true, that might vindicate the show for spending so much time building up the conspiracy angle, partly I think that they realized the show was lacking an incentive to pay for more content, so this could be simply them trying to grab the almighty buck, not uncommon to this community. At $7 per month x several thousand gullible listeners out of the 10s of 1000s, well it adds up real quick.

  7. Maybe it is self preservationIf you believe that sasquatch exist If you believe that sasquatch are intelligent (ape level or higher) If you believe that aboriginal stories are based on reality Why do many of those aboriginal stories talk about cannibalistic or highly aggressive sasquatch (assuming we are right in thinking these are sasquatch) What may have changed? Technology There is not a large mammal on this planet that man cannot destroy if we put our mind to it. Maybe in the past before firearms came to this continent, sasquatch could hunt people on a regular basis However if sasquatch were routinely attacking and/or killing people or even our livestock today, they would have our full attention and extinction would be their future No if enough of them have been introduced to firearms in the past, then they would have learned of our response A bluff charge or pursuit in most cases would get the required result without the risks

  8. I have heard the 'garbled' Sasquatch speak. I was separated by a river and could not close the distance. Years ago, I was discussing Sasquatch vocalizations with a forum member ( I believe is still active ) via PM. The other forum member had a theory about mimicry : Sasquatch may be mimicking Chinese miners who were here during the previous 2 centuries. There were a lot of Chinese laborers in California, Oregon and Washington. They were very good at mineral extraction. The sounds coming from a miming camp would be a din to anything. Are the reports of 'garbled' sounds specific to West coast events? Anything from East coast and Midwest? The theory of mimicry of Chinese miners is fascinating. What do the Yeren sound like?
