  1. Ring the bell Baby, plus one for the above.. And the reason for it, as per usual, is ego which also translates to a level of arrogance. People aren't good whatsoever at admitting they're wrong.

  2. Ah...I see the problem here Crowlogic. You think I am some sort of beeleever. Well, if so, let me clear that up right now. No. No I'm not. I'm a reader, an observer of nature and a listener, and I put my personal experiences on top of that pile too. Belief is for those who lack any better methods. I'm not one of those, by a long-shot. In addtiion, as a 56 y.o. myself, I'm delighted to confirm for you that 50 years ain't squat. Nor is 150. It is just acute myopia to think it is. I wish for you some better perspective C.L. I think you may have way over-invested in this thing way too long, and now the backlash has to be dealt with. Well, so it goes. 50 years IS a long time if you are cattywampus on a subject. Like I said, see if you can stop somewhere between the poles this time around. Cheers to you and best wishes.

  3. Crowlogic....here's the thing. Your intepretation of the possibilities in the world is extremely ego-centric. I don't mean to say you have an inflated opinion of yourself, but you are typical of many of those who struggle with this, viewing it through the lens of the self. When you write about how the confirmation: "Hasn't happened in 50 years..." What I read is, "Hasn't happened on MY timetable, because, after all, satisfying MY curiosity is what matters most. To me." When you write things like, "Not a single bigfoot has ever been hit by a truck or totaled a Toyota, not one." What I read is (aside from the fact that you might want to, umm, look into that further): " If it happend I would be sure to know about it." Maybe you would, but possibly you would not. Consider that BF is not all about you my friend, is all.

  4. In deference to CrowLogic's lamentations, looking at the history since the P/G film, it has basically been one disappointment after another with the litany of false discoveries, misidentification of evidence and outright hoaxes, et. al.. Then, you have the crop of people seeking to make money off the endeavour with the usual MO of "mining the miners" and even the most stalwart of Pilgrims begin to lose faith after repetitive failures in their quest. Take heart tho' friends, for the best way to find and learn of what you seek is to simply quit looking at the trees, focus on the forest and you will discover that these beings will find you as the revealment is more often than not, at their discretion, not yours.

  5. Well size matters. The individual approaching me had all the signs of BF except mass, girth and height. It was sveldt and no taller than 41/2 to 5 ft. and some few inches as best I could discern with my position slightly higher slope from it and it being hunched over in typical BF fashion. Forgot to mention it approached upslope in a specific zigzag curl until it was stymied by the unknown (a few roasted peanuts on the ground I suppose) and suddenly realizing I was sitting on a stump hunched over myself in solid black, whence it stopped looked down and the light show began, it was headed straight up at me from 35 ft. below (straight relative to a point to point distance measurement, it curled upslope). At 10 ft. it began to parallel me with left should directed at me. It had green eyeglow when at 35 ft. and the head/shoulder movement caused it to display apparent blinking or flashing/sparkling (there was a modicum of ambient light from a very distant street light and a porch light way upslope from me filtered through evergreens. Still it was possible to tell this was not typical eyeshine (either green or white light). If this was a juvenile it was a fully loaded and functioning one. I had an escape plan but sometimes you just are so surprised by many variables you are essentially immobilized with awe, fear, shock and amazement.

  6. Who are you claiming is a reasonable person? You have not walked away. You're still here, still participating in the discussion. If you walked away, I don't think anyone would argue with you, but if you're here arguing the other side of the issue, of course people who know you are wrong are going to argue. I think you probably know this but I'll point it out anyway: it's not about you changing sides, it's about you being wrong. MIB

  7. Dang it! Another worthy driven from the field due to BF's inability to adhere to his expect timetable. Have they no common decency! Crowlogic, you continue to be frustrated because this confirmation event hasn't happen within a period that you (rather arbitrarily, I might add) have determined to be the necessary amount of time. To which, I just have to reply, "Says who?" There is no timetable, no statute of limitations, no end of season....none of that exists except in the mind of the impatient. Those who cannot, or will not, accept that idea will be driven either to distraction (happens a lot) or to hard-boiled skepticism (ditto). As a root of skepticism, that has to be one of the weakest, I just think.

  8. What do you learn from tree knocking, whistles and screams other than they are out there? You already know that. Footprints, sightings, and the chance for photographs are easier to get in daylight. We all do our own methods so you sort of need to decide what your objectives are.
