As I quoted a primatologist over in another thread concerning this matter... UZH primatologist Thomas Geissmann criticized the actions of the NAWAC. "I am sure that it is not necessary to kill a specimen. I have described several new species of monkeys and never had to kill an animal for it. " In 2005 Geissmann and colleague Urs Thalmann described a new lemur species. Hair as well as photo and video material and audio recordings were enough. “It takes just a few hairs of a Bigfoot to unambiguously tell if it exists and what it is.†If the Falcon Project can do anything toward discovery apart from killing a specimen then I am 100% on board, and given the approach that has been spelled out for the project I think they stand a very good chance of succeeding, expert tracking is key, being able to locate them repeatably is vital to actually getting the needed collection of evidence. Nathan there are plenty of people supporting this research concept, the naysayers are just looking for something to shoot at, pardon the pun...

Well I don't see how I can make a short post here...I am notorious for long winded rants, so here is a good example of one! 1.The current objective is a face to face, eyeball to eyeball, sighting with a bigfoot. I guess you could say I want to "Meet" one of these creatures I have been interacting with. Once that is done I will join the military, I am holding that off until I have had this sighting. Either during that time with the military(During leave) or whenever, I do very much so want to video one, even if just for the fun of doing it. I guess part of the drive right this moment is that I believe I need the military to move ahead in life, for my future, and want to get it on as soon as possible, but I know if I start that before I have resolved my goal with bigfoot after I have put so much effort in and been so very fortunate that I will feel like the world's biggest fool the whole time I am in the military. I have had so many experiences but the whole thing is just bunk until I can put a face on it all I guess...That is the perfect ending to this chapter of my life and research. I would like to drop a good 2k+ on a camera in a couple of years. I think maybe the best method is in person, just a macho thing I guess...or atleast the most exciting way to do it. I will over time brain-storm ideas about how to do this and not be seen as a intruder or unwelcomed thing in the woods(This stems from my own beliefs, I just think it may irritate them), like maybe only do it for a short time then set the camera aside, because personal experience is the most important thing I figure. Never let your quest for proof/documentation corrupt or get in the way of your own personal experiences. Of course always make sure your documentation is spot on accurate and honest, never blow things out of proportion or lie, it gets a ton of people in some boiling hot water in this field VERY fast, and once you have slipped up, you are done! Don't worry so much about getting evidence or proving things to others, it will dull your senses and make you boring out there I believe. If you are not having fun out there you WILL burn out, don't burn out! Honest personal experience comes first. Honesty and integrity is everything. Trail Cams just don't seem to cut it...and lets face it that trail camera crap is boring anyway, I look at it that if someone was trying to film me in person I would respect them alot more than some doosh putting cameras up all around my yard and house trying to do it, I would see him as being a coward! I will typically video things I find in the woods(Like the prints, camera isn't that good but it is better than nothing, about 13 megapixels with garbage microphones in it) i figure interesting, sometimes I try to get knocks and what not on video, and I have been successful only once, I need much better equipment(Especially audio) than what I have now is the main problem I have, in the future I do want to get audio and video recording of what goes on out there, I think that will help alot of researchers, I think most researchers don't recognize the sounds the bigfoot make and this totally cripples their success in the field. PAY ATTENTION when you are out there! What is going on around you sound-wise is so, so important, and never be afraid to assume such and such a thing is a bigfoot and follow through accordingly...just be sure to keep those thoughts to yourself unless you are totally sure. otherwise you will quickly end up falling into the common trap of looking like a romantic idiot running around the woods saying everything you hear and see is bigfoot, this is a huge fear of mine personally. A big trap alot of researchers fall into though is writing everything off as NOT bigfoot, that is even worse I figure, as it will hurt actual progress. I don't specifically know what drives me, I am just driven by the subject itself I guess tbph. I enjoy interacting with them, and the thought of there being potential for it is enough to get me going. There is the excitement of checking on food I have left out to see how it got gone(If at all), the excitement of potentially getting to see a bigfoot, the excitement of being graced with the opportunity to participate in some small way in one of the greatest discoveries in centuries, the excitement of possibly being able to act in a way that will improve and even in a way defend the lives of a species that may just be at a crucial turning point in it's history, the point where it becomes totally known to ours. I can dream up alot of things that get me going into the woods I guess, knowing that the area I do research in is a pretty good spot for activity(Historically and from personal experience now) is a HUGE morale booster though, easy to burn out on it if you don't believe they are even there, took me several tries to finally get it right. This area is known by SOME of the people who live in and around it to have always had bigfoot activity. There are people I know of locally(And some personally) that just so happen to have had bigfoot experiences(One guy a straight up face off with one to my understanding, while he was hunting). 3. I will say that States I have been to are North Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and North Georgia. I believe there are bigfoot that live in each of these areas for sure, but only in one of them have I ever had experiences(Granted I didn't try real hard in the other places lol). The area I do research in is big and wild, lots of big deer, several black bear...it's a very lively place, much more so than anywhere else I have ever been! Could be a thing to keep a eye out for too when you go to pick a research area, how many other animals live around there within say a 5 sqmi range? Alot? Spend some time there. The area I am in is pretty solid wilderness that is over 7 miles long and 5 miles wide. Over a hour drive from my house. I will never give out the specific location but would be more than happy to lie about it and give out false information to mislead someone, especially over the internet lol. But if you use this information you could probably find it or a very similar area to do research tbh, I'm not that clever. 4. I work a basic and decent paying full time job, and am off 2 days a week with no family obligations whatsoever, with fantastic cold weather camping gear. As far as videoing goes I am a fan of Timbergiant, I think his fear will stop him from being totally successful unless he drops it, but I think his best video is the only time one has been clearly filmed, with out question...https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vM_oVOg3hBk It shows it can be done, it also shows a good video is worthless in about all senses of the word. What I saw was very similar to this, but with broader shoulders, it was closer to me than this(mine was about 70 feet if I remember, his is about 150), and mine was redder, similar to the squiggles that appear when you misspell things.

Ok, well i've done some Homework & have found something interesting, i think, maybe.. Just to add to the Map, here is some info on the Cluster of Sightings at the central/bottom portion of the Map & the area where the Cluster is of Sightings between May to September. The elevation is around the 11,500ft – 12,000ft level. Bear in mind the Map is updated last in 2001 so we could add some more of the below to it. Deputy Sheriff in June in 2009 - http://www.bfro.net/GDB/show_report.asp?id=27057 A Hunter in September 2005 - http://www.bfro.net/GDB/show_report.asp?id=19804 Hikers in July 1997 - http://www.bfro.net/GDB/show_report.asp?id=1352 Report submitted by Keith Foster in June - http://www.bfro.net/GDB/show_report.asp?id=1351 More Keith Foster in August - http://www.bfro.net/GDB/show_report.asp?id=1350 I believe the above 2 Reports would make up the cluster of Sightings that we see on the Map in the area we’re looking at, or at least a biggish part of it. Mangani’s Google Earth Programme only shows individual BFRO Reports even if they consist of multiple Encounters within, like Keith’s do in the above 2 Reports. I can’t seem to find any public Reports on the area of Winter ( October to April ) Sightings & the Cluster a little to the South East of the Summer Cluster that we just read about, & on the CO/NM Border that we can see on the Map. Then there’s the Cluster in & around Colorado Springs. This is the good bit .. This is just weird initially as there doesn’t seem to be anything for nearly 10 Years now since the Map was last updated & the Cluster was allowed to form prior to that, except for not really the greatest Sighting Report I’ve ever read, from OB.com, that is prime candidate for a fabricated Story in my opinion. http://www.oregonbigfoot.com/report_detail.php?id=01498 Colorado Springs before 2000 - Colorado Springs between 2000 - 2010 So maybe we should look at an area that would see possibly more Reports between 2000 & the present day, if there is/was one ?? Well there is a pattern of movement, clearly.. When i looked carefully I could see a route that headed West from Colorado Springs in 2000, just 1 Year prior to the last updating of the Map, that seems to suggest that “ boom “ in a Triangle area in Lake, Pitkin & Eagle Counties & an area that prior to 2000, Sightings that were publically Reported were down something like 80% compared to between 2000 & the present day.. Triangle before 2000 - Triangle between 2000 - 2010 The “ route “ even had Reports within it’s area, in virtually a straight line & within the time frame we’re talking about & guess what the Reports were ?? They were Vocalizations with the last one being people being spooked out of an area and Vocalizations too.. http://www.bfro.net/GDB/show_report.asp?id=2493 – May 2000 was the furthest East, 20 Miles or so outside of Colorado Springs. http://www.bfro.net/GDB/show_report.asp?id=1237 – September 2000 was the second furthest East 5 Miles or so from the previous one http://www.bfro.net/GDB/show_report.asp?id=3112 – October on the edge of the Triangle, 40 Miles or so on from the previous Report. Of course we could say that there would bound to be less Sightings from prior to 2000 due to lack of Internet etc, or alternatively we could assume that there was a possible movement of Animals between the Colorado Springs area & the Triangle Area within Lake, Pitkin & Eagle Counties, an area where the Sighting Reports have gone up between 80% - 90% from 2000 – Present day. & the distance ?? Approximately 100 Miles, as the Crow flies AND ALL THREE REPORTS are, as the Crow Flies, right on top of the South Platte River, which runs right up to the location of the Final Report above… I guess that wouldn’t be classed as Migration in the very sense of the word but it’s interesting if nothing else & why would it not be classed as a pattern of movement, like the OP was looking for ?? 100 Miles for an Animal of this size could be a Clan’s ( or whatever the word is for a group of them ) Home Range & isn’t very far at all, but we simply don’t know, we can only summise.. It could be a number of things, a new Leader wanting a new Territory or Home Base, the Animal’s being spooked enough by something to relocate over a hundred Miles away, the growth of Colorado Springs as a Town/City, it could be anything.. But it does honestly look to me to be a movement of Animals though,, from one area to another & given the figures, i think that's what it could be.. & i'm not talking about the same Animal's either, i'm talking about a Group of Animal's, a Clan, a Gang, a Pod whatever you want to call it & it would make sense for them to travel, as they look to me, like they did do along the River who knows how many times over 5 Months.. But maybe i'm reading too much into it, then again i might not be..
