  1. Kit, you are a very sharp cat, but you do have one blind spot, as Bill M. once observed about you: You can't tell good evidence from bad, and it really gets you sideways on this topic, I believe. The world is not all 1's and zeros. Some things are closer to 1 and some are closer to zero. A completely binary view of the world allows for no nuance. Try some tertiary for a change. As smart as you might be, you are not smart enough to be certain about this. Besides, certainty is the enemy of curiosity, and curiosity is the cornerstone of knowledge. Get you some brother.

  2. Contract? They were expected to be honored that the great Dr Sykes took their sample in for testing. He by his own admission picked and chose those he submitted to DNA extraction. That by it's nature is subjective. DNA containing materials without a chain of custody will always be suspect. Without a body, or a bleeding BF, I do not know how anyone can be reasonably sure that any material is from BF. All Sykes is succeeding at is nailing the lid on the coffin of DNA collected without a body. The more he publishes, the less likely anyone will submit any material or that other labs will go to trouble or the expense to test samples. Many proclaim his efforts but I think it is calculated to debunk the quest for existence. Main stream science is probably joyous every time he publishes his testing reports and he probably receives accolades for his efforts. It shows how enlightened main stream science is and have been, for not believing this BF nonsense in the first place. The test results that do not fit the debunk agenda are simply not reported or interpreted as contaminated.

  3. Quite frankly I do not trust Sykes motivation or involvement in BF or Yeti. A scientific skeptic can make more points with his colleagues from proving something is a bear than going to the fringe of science and risking ridicule. He comes off as a hard core skeptic to me. If some object with a questionable chain of custody (all of what he gets is in this category) shows some markers similar to human, it is easier to assume contamination, than go out on a limb and proclaim a new species. People have sent a lot of stuff to him and never hear any results back. Ever wonder why?
