This thread is to share some of the findings my research partner, my son, and I have found in the Gifford Pinchot National Forest between Mt St Helens and Mt Adams in Washington State. We are in the process of completing a research paper on our findings which we will be submitting for publishing in the next couple months. However, I wanted to share some of our findings here for those who spend time in the field; to give them additional information to look for, and to utilize in their own field research. There is considerable information which I will be posting as I have time. I do keep a daily log of my time in the field which I would recommend for anyone spending time in the field. It is too easy to forget important or even not so important details later on that may end up becoming important. My own background is in Wildlife Biology and yes I do have some initials after my name, for those that it matters. But, to me, what matters most is the 50+ years I have spent out in the field; hunting, hiking, fishing, photographing, learning tracking skills, and doing my own personal research. Have I observed a bigfoot in the field? No I have not. However, this evidence and other evidence I have found tells me there is something unknown out there. Just as cougar tracks and kills tell me cougars are out there though I have yet to see one in the wild. This research is based on three separate sites that we discovered located 7 to 10 miles apart in our study area. We identified some specific behavior in the study of each of these sites, as well as specific tooth impressions in the bones. The forensic evidence of tooth impressions in bone can be used to identify the possible predators that were responsible for the kill. There has been considerable research done in this field to help identify the possible culprit or scavenger of a kill (mostly for human remains). The size and type of predator can be determined by the various impressions they leave in bone with their canines and/or carnassials (carnivore molars). I will also be posting a control specimen of an elk we killed during hunting season and left the ribcage, spinal column, and pelvis after removing the quarters and boning out the rest. I returned to this specimen three times over a period of 6 months to observe and photograph its condition. These specific finds began in early 2013 when my research partner found several deer in one location which had been killed, disarticulated, eaten, and the bones stacked. The bones were stacked in front of a log; as if whatever had sat down, ate its meal, and stacked the bones in front of it. Original bone stack as found by my research partner. Why not? From the hundreds if not thousands of reports and testimonies I've read over the years it's clear that in the vast majority of cases these creatures/people have little interest in harming humans. I've obviously not listened to enough Sasquatch Chronicles to have my opinion changed on this matter. If BF are brutal, uncompromising killing machines then we need evidence for this claim. Even David Paulides is steering away from the possibility that Sasquatch is behind the large number of National Park deaths he has investigated. I suppose the big guy takes his fill of campers every year but we don't hear about it due to those pesky secretive feds???

I've only got 22% in the northeast where the witnesses were driving; of those over 50% (50/94) of the Bigfoot seen were crossing the road - why? 19 were on, or close to, the road and going along the direction of the road. (This seems to happen more often, but not exclusively, during foul weather.)

My data: 199 vocalizations (out of 697 total reports) 50 or 25% coming during daylight hours, 84 during dawn, dusk, or nighttime - the other 65 are un-characterized at this time simply because I haven't gone over the reports again. In 50 of the dawn/dusk/nighttime encounters, the moon information was given or could be determined; 34% occurred from the waxing gibbous through waning gibbous phases. I believe that's generally consistent w/the four phases used by the SSR. If I use the waxing quarter moon through the waning quarter moon, the percentage jumps to 72%.

Interesting - I didn't get that message. It's a Onedrive site. Quite common. Hmmmmm. Basically, it's a paper that 'shows' there is an undocumented hominid predating on deer and elk as was determined through the examination of predation teeth marks on bones using a technique that has already been accepted and applied in the field.

Everything hes shown is real in some way...We just dont know how those things got there specifically or how they were made or how they were manifest. So until that is known you are wrong.

I think at the time he was working. and had access to the land so perhaps under those circumstances those were his assersions and intentions. I think if he wants to continue and stay in the area he might need some finacial help. Certainly he has a following, I dont count myself as part of his following nor do I personally care if he continues his endeavor or not, but there are those who do want him to and I would imagine he might need the funding to do so...just a guess. People change their minds on things all the time and we are all hypocrates to one degree or another. We were not there when he allegedly asked for money nor under what pretense, he may have said he cant do it any further unless someone wants to invest. I dont see the problem per say and it changes nothing as to the body of the phenomenon that was recorded regardless as to yours, his or anyone elses personal opinion of it. Just because another member who may or may not have bias says hes begging for money , that doesnt necisarrily make it so... or are we so willing to accept that as truth over other things that are equally unsubstatiatable?

You could say the same for someone who falls for an obvious April Fools joke too, couldn't you?
