  1. In closing I will say this, we proponents have failed to provide proof to science that this creature exists. Its not all our fault as DWA points out from a Bindernagel point of view. We are laymen with jobs, children, spouses, house payments and a giant laundry list of reasons why our time in the forests of NA is limited. Science for the most part agrees with those that say there is nothing left to be discovered here. But as I said before, discoveries are being made, very important ones that advance our knowledge about the bushy tree of primatology today. And I do not see this slackening, perhaps if a fossil discovery was found in Siberia or Alaska that would support that perhaps other homonids made the same trek we did? Science might sit up and take notice, or at least that is my hope. I will continue to pack a rifle in my scabbard in the off chance I run into something interesting, after all its the journey that counts. Later.

  2. Your personal desire for a pure echo chamber of believers is noted.

  3. Hmmm....Sounds like the old game: Bigfoot, Skeptic, Bear. Bigfoot beats Bear with rock, Skeptic papers away Bigfoot, Bear mauls Skeptic with scissor-like bite.

  4. I know folks will doubt something very incredible if they have not personally experienced it for themselves, that's just human nature. With that said, I have been fortunate enough to have observed these highly elusive subjects on multiple occasions and not once did I feel personally threatened ( Was growled at once and backed off). Their activity expressed a level of cognitive thinking and intellect much like ours. That being said, there are the good, the bad and ugly in our social structure and places in our cities where you wouldn't want to be even in the daylight. If these subjects are as close to us as I personally feel they are, there are places in our wooded areas you have no business being in plain and simple. Even well armed hunters who don't believe these subjects exist have been driven out of areas and couldn't understand exactly what was going on at that time. If it doesn't feel right out there, it probably isn't is my two cents on this...

  5. You dont appear to want a serious discussion... right on this forum there are some that continually make statements like " the science is clear ", " Patty is proven to be real ", further down the list are " bigfoot lives in my backyard " and " I can telepathically communicate with bigfoot ". If proponents want to have an honest discussion then they need to realize that none of the above are true. The science isn't clear. It's twisted to follow a narrative. It could be heading in the right direction but who really knows.... it's certainly not clear. Patty is a big question mark but she's certainly not proven to be real just as she hasn't been proven to be a hoax. If proponents want to be taken seriously they must be open to discussion from a realistic position. Just as skeptics can't be close minded to possiblities.

  7. Meldrum lists his name and credentials. Let's hear yours. For me to accept any criticism of Meldrums assessment, of a footprint, you better have a PHD in Anatomy or Anthropology. If you do not, why would anyone listen to you? Now you go to character assassination by listing Standing, the Falcon project which was a good project managed by poor managers, and a couple of other shady things you cannot remember but say anyway. Why be specific when you can just sling mud? Is character assassination all you can come up with? You know how juvenile that makes you look?

  8. <Until the believers present incontrovertible proof for the claims of a breeding population of from 1 - 4 species of totally new (not in the fossil record) 8 to 20 foot tall "apes" which have red or orange glowing eyes and who can use infra sound and portals to stun and escape and love pancakes and maybe braid the hair of horses and maybe, possible can fly up to 1,000 ft in a single jump and which has a range which amounts to all of north america but have never left a single piece of scat nor a single hair - deep breath - Yeah, cowboy.... > I'm not a "believer", I'm a skeptic and will be unless I see one myself or some solid proof is found, but that post is something that is a pet peeve of mine. Non believers grab all the crazy ideas that have been reported and assign them to everyone who does believe. An ex-member here Cervelo used to say 90 percent of the evidence is crap, and with that I agree, but there is some that is compelling and that is what needs to be focused on, not the crazy stuff. I suppose the 90 percent that is crap is easier to dismiss than the 10 percent that is viable though.
