Yes. Exactly right. The intention is to fool you into thinking something else is making the sounds. Horse manure.

It all depends on the sound itself. Some sounds I've heard on recordings might sound like a growl to some people, but is more like a large male person clearing their throat and using their voice forcefuly. I've not heard a deer growl in the true sense of that descriptor but have heard the blows they will do when they dislike someone or somethings presence. Some knocking and tapping sounds I might atribute to a buck but other knocks just don't sound like a buck whacking it's head against a tree with the force necessary to make the sound.

^^ I was nowhere near it. I was maybe a hundred yards or more in the other direction away from the car. I have a similar video from yesterday but the 'mysterious movement' is easier to identify. It was a rafter of turkeys (I had to Google to find that term). Maybe this evening I will shorten and upload that video as well. I 'heard' the turkeys so I knew something was up above me as I walked the creek bed. In the same place as last year and in the same way I walked up the bank and spooked something bigger off just beyond the trees. I did not get a good look but I think it was lighter in color than what I saw last year. My camera was pointed that direction but I haven't found any movement in my videos yet (except for the turkeys) Edit to note: I just reached 800 Posts!

With 6,408 BF Forums posts, who could disagree? For someone who doesn't believe the creature exists, you sure do spend a lot of time here. Surely you can't be serious... Yes, I am. He agreed with my comment on my doubting their existence. Does that not indicate he feels the same way? While on the subject... If these animals exist, why has no one captured a single picture via game cam? There must be thousands of cameras of out there, yet not a single pic? How about home surveillance? Footprints up the butt, but not a single shot of Sasquatch. Oh well... They're probably never going to catch one on a trap cam. Trap cams are made and designed for animals. Your assuming this is an animal - and I'd suggest you're wrong in your assumption. That assuming gets a whole lot of folks in trouble on a whole lot of topics. Maybe you assume too much. Maybe likewise, you assume the behavior of these critters should meet your assumed expectations and reveal themselves as you'd prefer - trap cam, or home surveillance. Maybe they're smarter than anyone who would assume such options. Don't worry too much about your evidence. It's coming. And then you can fret over the different species of these things. And they'll start to add up.
