  1. From all your posts that I've read I'm not convinced at all you understand how science works. If I applied science in your manner, if I found a website that had 10k reports of dragons they would then exist. Anyone that contradicted it I could just repeat your mantra, science isn't looking or applying any effort.

  2. Hello DWA, You shouldn't be so quick to short-sight that post because it's a good one. I makes me think that you're in fact the one not thinking here. The issue is really one in which who cares what science thinks about this subject. Of course that would make about 8,000 of your posts rather moot so perhaps that's not the way to put it. Maybe your efforts on the soapbox might be better focused if you went after the group that TELLS science to ignore Sasquatch. One thing has always been true when it comes to power and that is the practice of ignoring anything that will dry up the flow of money whether it be environmental pollution, genocide, or any number of other circumstances that would hinder the steady flow of wealth.. If one controls a body of investigators and something comes along that could inflict a situation that chokes off the money train then pressuring the investigators to look the other way until the money choke hold is dealt with seems perfectly logical. Yeah. That's what you should be harping on. Bashing science is only bashing a symptom. It's not addressing the malady. IMHO beating up on scientists and members who "are really not thinking about this much" only covers up the fact that you yourself are not. It isn't the scientists- it's the thumb that's pressing down on them. Haven't you ever wondered why in all of my threads I never dis science? It's because as far as Sasquatch goes it's all under control which effectively relegates science to the level of small potatoes. There, that's the serious alternative you were looking for. Hook the big fish in the pond and the little fish will be free..... to look for bigfoot.

  3. It's not laziness on Meldrums part to not perform a little due diligence on Mr.Standings background and history? Or perhaps he did so such, and saw no red flags? Which is it, do you think?

  4. At least one thing I can say, I cannot see the point of doing biological research on Sasquatch if it is not purely a flesh and blood creature. I get it that so much mystery and unknowns exist, but if we allow that void to be filled with erroneous suppositions based on subject experiences, not objective observation, well we might as well just not pursue the creature scientifically, but in a more spiritual fashion. I am not knocking the notion, but you are definitely in one camp or the other whether you know it or not. It is simply inconsistent to be out looking for DNA and prints, recording vocalizations, et. of a creature that can shape shift, or pass through dimensions. That is not an inquiry of science, but of the paranormal or metaphysical. I have dabbled on that side of the fence, and know others as well who have done the same, some of what these so called Bigfooters are associating with these creatures is common to any pursuit into the supernatural. Apparitions, demonic figures, portals, cloaking, and in my opinion ET activities all fall under a spiritual nature, and I am not talking about the good witch of the west here. I would be cautious in opening myself to such influences as they seem good on the surface, but they pull individuals into dark places. The Hail Bob cult were communicating with the ET's before killing themselves to pass into that supposed realm. My experiences and experimenting was leading me to a similar place, you need to be careful what you allow in.

  5. I'm sure it 'can' or does happen, but it doesn't mean it's an automatic thing, nor does it equate that it's happening because there's a bigfoot around. We've experienced many episodes where it's not the woods going quiet, but the woods going nuts when there are BF around. Without hard, physical evidence or scientifically obtained and vetted data, everything about this is purely conjecture. Edited to Add: If it's an eyewitness who just had an encounter reporting this happening, then it's even more likely it's an adrenaline induced auditory event experienced by the individual. The temporary loss of auditory perception and logic/reasoning skills is a medically documented phenomenon in a shocking or frightening situation.

  6. @Twist, not every strange incident is b/f related, that's why you eliminate what you can "prior" to implying b/f. AND that's what I'm doing, eliminating. And yes it is on my mind as a possibility but only at this point a slim possibility, NOT a probability.

  7. It's probably the observer who is making the forest quiet as he walks around thinking it's a bigfoot causing the silence!?! t.

  8. ShadowBorn wrote: No, SB....Todd's hoaxed videos certainly don't help him, in any way. Neither do his make-believe adventures, in the Land of Sylvanic....tunneling underneath mountains...( )....being surrounded/chased by Sasquatches...and having tree trunks thrown at him. Also, I wonder what ever happened to his "video of an encounter with a Sasquatch that ended in violence"....(with Todd apparently the victor)??? Did his pet T. Rex eat it?? I don't know if Toddy ever has had a legitimate encounter with a Sasquatch....but, one thing I know for sure.....I don't care if he has.
