I can assure you that the Ontario, Canada forest industry is not holding back information nor do they have any inclination of bf being present or real.

Hello Lake County Bigfoot,
When one considers that there was a land bridge about once every 100,000 years then what you say is very plausible. Human history is much older than 100ky so there could have been countless crossings back and forth along with what anthropologists see as the main ones populating North America.
Food for thought to support this? The camel originated in North America. The great Apes in Africa and Sumatra may have as well. Yes, there would- or should- be bones so I'm just tossing the idea out there.
Hello Norseman and Yuchi1, From the linked Smithsonian article: "While most scientists believe the likelihood of the existence of such a creature is small, they keep an open mind as scientists should. One cannot prove anything on the basis of negative evidence, and the only satisfactory proof that an animal fitting the description of the "snowman" exists would be either to capture one and study it or to find undisputed skeletal evidence. Only these kinds of finds would result in the universal recognition of the "snowman" by all scientists."
Looks like that is open to interpretation. As it's worded in my bolding there is no way to settle any disputes over what "undisputed Skeletal evidence" is talking about- a skeleton or a skeleton clothed in tissue. I interpreted it as a skeleton, as in just the bones. If there's a body it isn't a skeleton- it's a body. Depends on if one wishes to argur=e technicalities. But that's just me and my take on it.
Hello gigantor,
OH! PICK ME, PICK ME!
Megafauna, your are a twit....
There, done. Now lets get that post count up. All you have to do is say, "No I'm not" and I'll say, "Yes you are" (rinse and repeat) and when your count gets to a hundred we'll slap each other on the back for a job well done, shake hands with compliments all around, and walk away friends. Only fifteen "No I'm nots" and you could be in the SSR by tomorrow!
its all in what you're familiar with.. and perhaps differing philosophies.
here we've seen other countries subject to stricter regulations.
perhaps that makes many of us more appreciative of the rights we currently enjoy.... and as for needs , well i suppose people collect all sorts of things my friend .
but fwiw, i've got a glock ive had for years and its a favorite since it shoots well and has been dependable.
got a deal on a flat top AR last year and scoped it makes a decent varmint gun . wish i'd had it with me the other AM when those 3 coyotes came in instead of the bolt action i was carrying . got one but the others were gone before i could rack the bolt.
agree with norse on shooting what you're comfortable with... main thing is that you're shooting .
Branco,
Let's play a game.
Let's assume that such a press release exists (from the proper department of forestry and not some fake thing) and Terry shows it to you.
Would you, branco, believe it?
See, I've read your past posts and I don't think you'd believe it at all. In fact, I think you'd claim that the such a press release was actual proof of a cover up.
One has either encountered a bigfoot or one has not. If one has encountered a bigfoot, the belief debate is moot. If one has not, the belief debate is everything.
This forum is not dominated by either proponents or skeptics. It is dominated by believers of both camps who argue their respective belief systems.
But there is the occasional nugget of significant information....
