  1. I don't think so, Gigantor, as I know of a few in their 20's who are carrying the torch. There's Nathanfooter, not currently active on the board, and a very enthusiastic young man that posts to our own local board here in BC. There was also a father & 12 year old son at the FB townhall last spring with experiences to share. It looks like I'm the "old guy" in the bunch so far, the only one in the 71-80 category. Lets get this done before I kick the bucket, guys!

  2. I can just see some people reading Yuchi1's posting about defamation and frantically looking at all the trash talk they have posted about someone in a profession like Meldrum. You don't have to read very far to find stuff people have posted that could get them in court. You can disagree with someone but when you start declaring them to be liars, fabricators, and hoaxers you have crossed the line.

  3. I have seen camera shots that are very positive, very clear of whole bodies. I have one of a hand reaching for one of my cameras before it was torn from the mount. However, random images taken here and there are not conclusive in any manner. What a wonderful discussion. As far as why go up the hill? Well, when you are 68 years old, what's more fun? A TV or a sanitized gym; or watching stars, hiking the hills, perking fresh coffee and butter on campfire biscuits? And pleasant conversation around a campfire? Then, snuggling into a good, dry warm bedroll for a cool nights sleep. Mix in a dram of good scotch along the way and life becomes very good. Thank you all so far. I especially appreciate the off-forum messages to me which have proved helpful. If we knew the answers, the mystery would be solved. Fresh ideas are excellent. 4. I think most 20 and 30 year olds prefer Facebook and Twitter and other types of social media. Anonymous Forums, where you have to post long sentences, go back to the mid-nineties (maybe dated media?). Hey, I saw one 20-30 year old in the stats, so there is hope. Maybe that is not Nathan? Most young men in their 20's are chasing women, not BF. In their 30-40's, they are into career/job/making money and not chasing mythological creatures. Granted, all this changes with one close encounter. Once life settles in the 50's, we get more free time and the few curious ones will check on those anomalies that bothered us that remain unexplained. I wonder if there is a correlation between the # of posts by BFF members and their age? Premise being that retired folks have more free time to spend in the internet and post.

  6. Retired from a technical career at 53 due to health challenges, now a month away from 65 and able to explore my wide ranging interests. My wife and best friend just put in 60 days notice to her board this morning and when we have our 39th anniversary in July we'll be embarked on a new chapter of our journey to forever together. Part of that will include exploring the many parts of Montana we've missed as well as points west. With luck, we may even meet some of the fine folks from the forum!
