  1. I'm at the other end of the spectrum, in a way. My outings are casual. Just NV and a parabolic. No cameras. (Any more.) If I were to post experiences people would want more than my word obviously. No photos or recordings to share. I guess I'm out there for my own satisfaction.

  2. .....or a bigfoot. I had one caught right in the middle of a big open pasture, on the night of a full moon, with a good video camera, gen 3 night vision & a 3X lens. The only problem was that she was keeping herself directly between me & the only tree in that part of the pasture, & I fell for it. I looked at her for a few seconds, & decided she was the tree trunk. If I had known what she was & waited, she would have had to do something to get away & it would have been an amazing piece of video. As it was, I got 22 seconds of her standing there, looking like a tree trunk, turning around & backing up, & probably telling me that there was nothing to see there & to turn the camera off. Which is exactly what happened. I didn't even give it anymore thought until the next afternoon. When I finally looked at it on the TV, that tree trunk could be plainly seen with two arms & two legs, & moving all around until the film stopped.

  3. Agreed ... but it shouldn't take it away, either, not for someone who is "critical thinking" properly and not just using "critical thinking" as a platform to scoff from. Remember, sometimes there really is a tiger. MIB

  4. More control for YOU! You meant to say you have NO powers at all.

  5. Anyone who has a premium membership can access the research areas, read, comment, whatever. If you choose not to act accordingly however, the person who controls their research area can block you out. There are several other research areas you could still access however. Plus, the $20 bucks for the premium membership supports the forum. It also gives you access to The Tar Pit, where you can let anyone and everyone know what you think about them with no restrictions. Just beware however, The Tar Pit is where they keep Huntster chained up.

  6. Bigfoot fanatics that need to see something are probably NOT seeing anything at all.

  7. Yeah, Old Dog. None of us nonsensical lowlifes to deal with. More control.

  8. The group of which I am a part share info freely within the group, but with hold names and exact location specifics from anything that we post/write on public media, for obvious reasons. Encounter reports are often posted in a blog or published in book form by our resident author, Thomas Steenburg. I sometimes describe outings here on the forum in the "Field Trips" thread, though I was sadly remiss in doing so this past year due to personal health issues, now resolved, so hopefully I'll post more this coming year, once we're dug out from all the unusually heavy snow we've had this late in the season. I also work with "BigfootHunter" in his tour company, Sasquatch Country Adventure Tours, sharing local sighting stories and general sasquatch lore with tourists who come to Harrison Hot Springs, which bills the area as "Sasquatch Country". Their reactions and comments all seem very positive, so we must be doing something right. Members of the group have been involved in a number of documentaries, TV shows, and published books, so we're not shy or secretive, but not glory hounds, either.

  9. Who are you responding to, and what that was said? I don't see any connections, that's like asking what's "2+2" and getting a response of "butter". Connect the dots, please, so your response has some relevance to the conversation? Thanks, in advance ... MIB

  10. As a child hunting I learned real quick that as night became day, deer would appear all over place, and you would strain to see movement. Your eyes trying to tease a deer out of the forest. But as the sun rose higher each deer would turn into a bush, a stump or a rock. Movement was key in revealing a living animal. At some point they move.

  11. I started to post my BF classification system in response to the pictures posted but will suffice to say that it is only likely that a picture taken is something unique if you hear something move or see something move then take a picture. Even that has no guarantee but just increases the likelihood something is really there. If we just randomly take pictures of the woods you get all kinds of pictures which your mind creates things of interest looking at the pictures. Interestingly my bathroom linoleum patterns causes my mind to do the same thing. I see a lot of BF faces in there at times. The skeptics will love this but I guess you could say I have BF on the brain.

  12. I enjoy "Finding Bigfoot" and respect the cast, but this sounds more like manufactured "reality" rubbish. I for one will not be tuning in for this tripe. Armed good ol' boys running around shooting up the forest at night in order to protect folks - no thanks.
