  1. There's no such thing as "settled science", that amounts to setting it up as a religion, dogmatic, unquestionable, which is antithetical to science itself ... Science the religion with acolytes in lab coats vs science the discipline where anyone can ask and anyone can try to answer. The point is, science continues to grow and sometimes reverse course as new evidence comes in clusters rather than being evenly distributed. While the solutrean hypothesis is heretical in the eyes of the Scientific Establishment, "rumors of its death are premature". It remains a candidate by those who practice science instead of Science.   2. Which person is relying more on a belief system? A previously skeptical witness that has had a close visual sighting of BF and knows they exist or a skeptic scientist who declares them not there because science does not accept them for lack of proof. One is relying on personal observation and the other is spouting scientific dogma of "mistakes and fabrication" to justify their beliefs. Which is science and which is dogma?
