  1. Everbody's opinion matters. Even hiflier's. But we each need to give everyone else enough room to express their own opinions. Something hiflier isn't very good about. If one is going to specialize in criticism, then you'd think they could handle a critical comment without outrage.

  2. hiflier, it's not just one post. Over the years you have constantly denigrated people on this forum with more experience than yourself..... to the point that some of them, with first hand information, don't want to swim in the pool you keep defecating in. They stop participating. You are are certainly entitled to your own opinions, but so are they. And when someone treats you to a little criticism, which you dole out liberally to everyone else, you scream like a stuck pig. It's hypocritical. You went away for a while and people who had been silent for a while began to participate again. That was a good thing. But now you're back. I've tried having discussions with you in the past. It's fruitless. You only seem to be interested in attempting to dominate the forum with volume and vitriol.

  4. You get a Junior Bigfoot Researcher kit, which consists of an angel DNA collection kit and a permanently out of focus camera. Pretty sweet deal.

  5. DUDE! YOU ARE responding to a six year old posting, and the poster is long gone. He can't hear you, but you blather on, as if you're making a valid point and he gives a rat's arse.

  6. Seriously. Just stop it. You are resurrecting dozens of old threads to say the EXACT SAME THING in every one of them! Just give it a rest already.

  7. Quite the opposite conclusion for me. I would hope people who espouse the existence of a paranormal sasquatch would NOT throw in the towel if a "normal" one were found. The reports exist with some consistency. Discarding that report data just because much of the rest were explained is as wrong-headed as discarding sasquatch data because sasquatch hadn't been found. Discarding that data is an act of BELIEF, not an act of SCIENCE. The reports should be examined an an explanation pursued with the same dogged determination with which we pursue the F&B sasquatch. Good science requires it. MIB

  8. I agree that a side arm is preferred more so than a long gun. I have a Glock 40 MOS which is a 10mm with a 6" barrel (KKM) and a reflex sight. I love it and am more accurate with this than any other handgun. When squatching, I carry my Ruger Toklat which is a 454 Casull. It has a 5" barrel which, for me, is perfectly balanced. The 7.5" barrel feels nose heavy while the Alaskan 2.5" barrel doesn't feel heavy enough. The Toklat is a fantastic revolver that you can shoot all day long at the range with 45 Colt. When you want the firepower of a 454 Casull you've got that too. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ll--DXOWPyA Another option would be the S&W 450V in a 5" ported barrel. You could shoot 45 Colt, 454 Casull, or 460 S&W. By the way, Ruger just introduced a new 10mm handgun in 1911 format. I can't imagine the attraction of it compared to the Glock 40, especially when you can put a reflex sight atop the Glock.

  9. ^^^ this is what I'm talking about hiflier. You talk about yourself instead of the subject matter and get all emotional about it. Argue about the subject, not you or your feelings. Focus on your hypothesis, not other people. Attack the counter-argument, not the member. You dig? and that goes for the rest of you too... or else

  10. What dumbazz guide would go out with a dirty rifle? If any weapon in the field gets dunked, dropped in mud, or falls over in the dirt - it would take a full-blown retard to blow it off and let it go. Because that's your butt on the line. In the early days of the M16, they suffered two misfires per thousand shots, due to: 1. The rifle and round was tested with Dupont IMR 8208M stick powder, but the Army had a lot of Olin WC846 BALL powder they substituted, and it fouled terribly unless the weapon was cleaned well and often. 2. No cleaning kits were issued, nor were any cleaning instructions given. 3. The barrel was not chrome plated - leading to corrosion and trouble extracting the rounds. 4. Rifles didn't have a forward assist - which slams the round to seat like a bolt action does. Semi-autos are very reliable - even automatic pistols - and if you know the weapon, and you know the trick, each can be cleared of a stovepipe or double feed in one second. Even a Winchester Model 12 pump shotgun I used in combat would occasionally have a round jump out of the magazine and jam the loading gate - which I had slotted, enabling clearing in an instant with one of my dog tags. No weapon is 100%. Not one. The semi rifles are now as accurate as bolt actions, a whole lot more accurate than a lever, and you can put three rounds on target for every one of the bolt actions or lever actions. Lots more firepower without sacrificing accuracy. I agree on everything else you said. I just saw a video of a guy poking a small cave, pistol in hand, and he didn't get a shot off - a cat came out and got on him so fast he couldn't do anything.
